Most of the time, it should be players that are most valuable to the team, not the league to help their team to the playoffs,
Player scoring team %
Pastrnak 37.8%
McDavid 47.1%
MacKinnion 39 6%
#86
Kucherov
44.5%
MacKinnon was bet out by Hall even though they were tied at 99pts because he helped his team in the playoff
I just don't understand how most people, including the voters don't put any credence on actual defensive numbers and transitional play. It's always about the offense. Makar by FAR blows away Karlsson on the defensive side of the ice. Its just a shame. Makar and Fox are true 200 ft players.
The fact that Mikko was still lighting it up when half the team was out and knowing that every team was trying to shut him down when he was alone. That’s deserving of a hart trophy
I watch hockey and like to see real a story come to life, like underdogs story, personal achieve on a nobody l, a longshot being hockey hero or a Franchise winning first time. The upsets and disappointments on what this game can bring, like thr movie "on any given Sunday"
Yes, it's a surprise, but it's also deserved.
Restricting it to three is a bit weird, though, since there are no Bruins, no Morrissey, no Heiskanen, etc.
Season is over however you guy's are still kicking. Love it. Thank you Kyle and Chris.
Avalanche should sell season tickets to their “away” games where they play much better.
P.S. they better redo their 2-4 lines!
After watching us win the cup last year, now that we are out im just really enjoying watching hockey without the upset stomach out of sheer nervousness lol plus with Boston losing in hilariously satisfying fashion there isn't a team left in there that I feel like doesn't deserve to win the cup.
Please please please can someone from Loveland make a real impact for us next year? Anyone? Bueller? Perhaps a show on who has the best chance to do just that?
Yet another useless comment from me: this whole season, I've been trying to figure out which motion by our beloved host, and/or what randomly obscured/revealed background object in the studio, is triggering the camera to zoom in and out by a few percent throughout the broadcast. My best guess is the fact that the background view varies in distance from the lens, because Chris is cool enough to sit in front of a corner rather than a wall. And those two colors are awesome, by the way.
Surprised he got the nomination, actually this season Morrissey would deserve it more, but congrats to Cale. Karlsson is the clear frontrunner and probably the winner. I wanted to subscribe to Subtext, but just watching and listening to how you guys avoided the Nichushkin scandal stopped me from doing it. Very disappointed that you jumped on the Avs bandwagon to keep quiet so the scandal will pass away till next season. 👎👎👎👎👎
