I played basketball for many years, and it’s always boggled my mind why NHL’ers don’t fake passes/shots more. They almost never fake anything. Even when a good fake would give them an open shot, a clear break, an odd-man rush, etc…

Even though Hirano is mostly an ECHLer, it’s gotta be so much fun to be one of the only North American level pro players in a tourney like this. I guess it’s kinda like when Dale Weise went to the Dutch league during the lockout and got to experience a half season as a superstar.
