Pour ceux d’entre vous qui pensent que Matty Beniers ne contribue pas simplement parce qu’il ne coule pas de rondelles : occasions de marquer créées toutes les 60 minutes au premier tour.

I think he’s just generally getting blasted every time he touches the puck; playoffs have ramped up the hits and physical play, it seems to be affecting him. Still a rookie and still time to adjust to that.

His defensive awareness is amazing. Poke check is on it, speed to disrupt the rush and rarely is in the penalty box is incredible. Fantastic two-way center.

Just don’t post JFresh’s tweets about Hakstol lmao

Matty is drawing a HUGELY disproportionate amount of heat every game, and he’s still playing incredible defense AND generating scoring chances. I’m proud of our rookie, you go Matty B!!

I don’t think he’s not contributing, but I do think his concussion has kept him a bit more gun shy.
He is also a huge target in these playoffs, being a rookie and a target has to be hard.
I think it’s something he’ll overcome, he’s young and an injury like that can shake ya up good. But pre ASG Matty is a bit different from post ASG Matty.
Nothing crazy, but SoG% dropped a bit, as did goal scoring (including no PP goals after ASG but 4 before ASG).
Again I think it’s something he’ll shake, in fact his April was already much better than his March or February. Just has to shake off the pressure and fear.

I don’t think that. He’s getting his ass ragdolled physically though. And it sucks to see. I really wish his team would step up for him.
Frankly I think our overall postseason offense has been pretty good.

Big Matty B fan here. The Regular Season success has not translated as well in his 1st post season which is more normal than not.

need Spronger to heat up again, 2 points in 9 games not quite the same as his reg season.
Also Donato only forward without a playoff goal right now.
MoenFawcetts
He’s small. He has talent but he needs to get bigger. Everyone in the playoffs is big and fast.

I like the quote from an old Boston GM: not paying you for scoring chances, just goals
