Take out the first 8 minutes of the second and the Leafs were by and far the better team. We knew it was going to be a battle, but the series ain’t over yet.

  2. TheGapInTysonsTeeth

Get this man more ice time!

  3. Ballsahoy72

Um, please be, at least, a little worried

  4. hockeyholloway89

This is the answer and mentality we need. Not being worried is not the same as not caring. We’ve seen how the core of this team plays when they’re worried- it isn’t pretty. We need controlled confidence. If we can make it 2-1 after game 3 I think anything can happen!

  5. MollyGibson84

Welp if he’s confident, I’m confident. I hope knies is OK and can play Sunday

  6. Intelligent_Chair901

This series is far from over. The team does need to finally get their collective heads of their asses though and put in a full 60 moving forward.

The Leafs are making the same mistakes the Bruins did with them. Neutral and in zone giveaways because of Panthers forecheck. At least the Bruins got 3 wins out of them in that series. If the Leafs don’t find a way to get past the Panthers system, this may be over quicker then the Bruins series.

  8. golden_rhino

He should be at least a little bit worried, no?

  9. heat_00

He should be playing with nylander instead of Tavares , this isn’t 2015 anymore. He’s better and we would’ve won that game had that been the case. Unfortunately, you can’t trust an 11 mil a year player to run his own line however

  10. itaintbirds

Ummmmm. There’s not that much hockey left.

  11. TheEggman00

O’Reilly could always get a job with window installation at Timmies in off season

  12. MrBalanced

We need to keep this guy during the retool, if possible.

  13. Rowdy_Roddy96

Honestly I feel like they should be flipping the Centres and having O Reilly play 2C and Tavares play 3C atm. If Knies is ok I wouldn’t mind seeing Knies play with ROR and Nylander while Bunting stays with Matthews and Marner. JT would play with Acciari and maybe Jarnkrok?

  14. For some strange reason I don’t feel worried either. That will change a lot though if they lose the next one.

  15. tetradeltadell

The good news is we’re getting chances at least. I still can’t believe Nylander didn’t pot one last night. In the latter half of the game he was a menace out there.

The boys will get back on track here. Still lots of hockey left.

  16. ryan2one3

    I wish I were as « not worried » as him….

Bob playing like Price and his teammates are relentless.

  17. Master_Graphic_Novel

Win the next game or this is basically all over. Should be somewhat concerned, I’d say.

  18. dntstpblevin

The most concerning thing is we didn’t play well in the Tampa series either. We got Goalied the last couple games but also had stretch’s of bad play. We’ve really only played one complete game all playoffs.

Maybe Spezza can come down get the boys fired up. Keefe certainly hasn’t been able to thus far.

  19. BallHarness

Problem is this how Tampa felt. Play offs aren’t fair and best team doesn’t always win.

  20. AffectionateRice7271

I agree lots of hockey left. Series picks up Sunday so an opportunity for the Panthers to come off that game 7 win high. Leafs will show up on the road and I bet it’ll be a best of 3 when they get back from Florida. I can’t imagine the Leafs wouldn’t give it their all at this stage.

  21. There was a play where Marner kind of realized he’s Mitch fucking Marner and drove the net and literally they couldn’t stop him (Bob made a save but….)

Leafs have been looking like they’re trying to play Panthers hockey. Leaving pucks out in lieu of a big hit, passing when they could be driving, etc.

Play Leafs hockey, boys. Make them come up to your level, don’t play down to theirs.

  22. Don_Gwapo

I only have one wish for this series, take out same Bennett with a dirty hit

  23. RollandInTheDeep

What we need is the top 4 to perform been absolutely invisible these last two games

  24. goblinhumper_md

I am. U think they will win 4/5 with Bob in the crease? No chance…unless they find some serious truculence, testosterone and belligerence.

  25. Grrr-ta-ta-ta

    I’d be worried🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  26. fiercelyblazed

This is how we lost to Montreal. We’re better, we just find a way to lose. The worst part about losing this series is it let’s Boston of the hook. Panthers become the Cinderella team, and it takes the stink off Boston. We need to be better. I’m still putting my money (just a little) on the leafs to win this series.

  27. Ok_Interest5767

Not worried? Your team has arguably been outplayed in 6/8 playoff games so far, luckily squeaking out 3 wins in O/T. You should most certainly be worried, cliché hockey quote man. Waste of time asking these guys questions and reporting on it. Marner and Matthews are even worse for this. It’s a big part of why I find this team so unlikable as people. Never honest, no personality or passion, just quivering fear of the big bad Toronto media.

  28. ATARI2600s

I hope we find a way to keep him.
