Récapitulatif du deuxième match Devils vs Hurricanes

Je sais que les Devils sont revenus de 0-2 au premier tour, mais cela semble différent. 1. Going into the playoffs, without 3 of our top 6, I was skeptical. But damn, Rod has these guys working their butts off. That 2nd period the Canes were like a loaded dump truck, going downhill with no breaks and NJ had no answers. Just dominant.

  2. Yikes….these aren't just losses ….they're blowouts. NJ needs to win game 3 and stop the bleeding….same goes for the Leafs, who are also better on the road.

  3. Certainly looks like NJ has met their match this year (barring some homeice magic to get back in the series). Carolina is outworking NJ and winning battles that are directly leading to goals. That's not something systems or lineup tinkering can fix, frankly. Hope they can learn from this for 2024 and beyond as a fan, but still a great season – their window is just starting. Credit to Carolina, they've paid their dues and are playing their game lights outs. I don't know who can beat them the rest of the way if they keep this up.

  4. As a Devs fan yeah were done. For the fans saying "weve been here before" just stop the Rangers had a goalie the Canes have a TEAM theres a big difference. Devils are gonna run this league for the next decade. They've done way more than any fan could've asked for. Not saying they cant come back but i definitely wouldn't bet on it. Hope they prove me wrong LGD!! 😈😈😈

  5. The Devils came out well 1st period, but then just fell apart. My gut is suspecting fatigue as the reason because the way the schedule worked out we got zero rest between the Rangers and the Canes whereas the Canes were fresh off a 5 day rest. This team has played WAY better then this all season long and even turned it up against the Rangers so I am hoping that they find that next gear.

  6. It doesn't feel that different. Home vs road doesn't mean a damn thing here. They were outworked by a more playoff-experienced team in games 1 and 2 in round one. They got outworked by a more playoff experienced team here, too. The playoffs present one challenge after another requiring one adjustment after another. This is the process of an inexperienced team learning what the playoffs are like. Their best players – Hughes, Bratt, Hischier, and Mercer (4 of their top 5 scorers during the season) have no playoff experience. This is what it means to learn how to win. That said, no one expected them to win game 3 vs the Rangers. If they win game 3 in this series, it's going to change the complexion of things, just like it did in round one. If they lose, I just hope they're more competitive. We'll see.

  7. As a devils fan I’ve just been pleasantly surprised all season. Still skeptical. I do think the inexperience is going to knock them out of the playoffs. They just don’t seem to know how to make adjustments to their game on the fly. Trying to play a skilled and fast game against experienced guys who are shutting that down. Maybe a little more aggression and directness can get their speed going again. I’ve just seen too many shot opportunities get passed and swallowed up by the D.

  8. As a Devils fan yes. I was saying this feels different from the NYR series while watching the game. Other than the first half of P1 this looked like a junior team vs. an NHL team. We'll see if going home to the Rock changes anything.

  9. Both the Devils and Leafs are down by 2 , But two completely different storylines

Leafs are beating themselves , Devils are getting beaten by Carolina

  10. The Devils can get back into the series but Nico and Timo need to begin scoring. I don’t believe either have scored a goal in the playoffs.

  11. Easy cup for the canes. Florida will be a gritty series but they will prevail and Vegas/ Edmonton don’t have a defense to keep up with the canes. Place your bets now kiddos

  12. Just brutal how they treated Hischier. But the refs obviously don't give a damn. Things could escalate very badly now.

  13. As an original rangers fan and then moving to Raleigh in 1988, watching the rangers win the cup in the early 90’s and then there was all this talk of a professional hockey team coming to Raleigh. Then it actually happened and it didn’t make sense putting a hockey team in an area controlled by 3 college teams and die hard fans of UNC-DUKE-NCSU. Last night watching those guys play again that hard with 3 top scorers out almost brought me to tears. Seeing them win the cup in 2006 was crazy but it all comes down to coaching at this point for the canes. They are proving they are a deeper team then anyone would have thought. Having Andersen back is a major plus. I really want to see a canes/oilers rematch in the cup this season.

  14. If the Devils lose 2 more games to the Hurricanes at home, their quest for their 4th Stanley Cup will come to an end on a sour note.

  15. Considering what the Devils did to the Rangers and what Carolina is doing to the Devils, looks like teams should be happy the Islanders are out.

  16. Andersen playing in goal like he always has. Giving his team chances to win every time out.

  17. Why does Haula get boo'ed so hard? Hamilton was also a Cane, but doesn't get any boos….

  18. After the 1st period it really was no contest. Probably a sweep by 'Canes and that may hurt them trying to stay sharp during a long wait 'til the next game.

  19. This does feel different. We are being out played simply put. Vancek should get the start just because hes a good goalie and deserves to start a game at this point. The other big adjustment is that Hughes need to play with Meier and Bratt. The only way this team comes back is activating your snipers and jack is the only way to do that in my opinion. The small guys are actively hurting the more grinder lines anyways. Keep them together and pray they get creative.
