Bigger stronger better… lets not also forget.. HEALTHY.. he was injured during the development camp so we couldn't see him.
I really hope Buffalo ships out Olofsson and that Okposo retires and moves into a player development role. Kulich and Savoie can replace them in the lineup, and there would still be room for Girgensons if the Sabres want to bring him back.

As much as i liked the pick and the player himself…….im worried about rushing Savoie like we did Mitts. CM wasnt physically ready for the NHL when he got into the lineup. The talent was there (still is) but his body wasnt ready for the grind of an NHL season as he kept getting injured every year. Savoie probably has the skill for the league but is he ready physically? I dont think a year in Rochester will be a bad thing in his development. 👍👍
Granato is known for developing young players, I say Savoie and Kulich should be and will be on the opening night roster next season. Get them in the NHL with sheltered minutes like JJ and Quinn had this season and let Granato coach them up.

Dahlin 9.5 -10m for 8 yrs, Power 8.5 for 7 yrs. If they can get those deals done this summer, the team will be in great shape going forward.

If Guenther was draft in 2020, he couldn’t play in juniors. He’d be too old by now. With all respect to the amazing Draisatl, McDavid is still a better player.
I think that the Sabres take the Shane Wright approach to Savoie next season. A few games with the Sabres, play in the world juniors, do a conditioning assignment with the Amerks, then back to juniors…or if he’s amazing he’s stays in Buffalo.

got sent to the AHL for a conditioning stint.
Then went to the World Jrs
Then went back to Jr. (I think all of this didn’t burn a year of ELC.) don’t quote me.
The Sabres could choose to do something similar with Savoie. It could be a wise thing to reevaluate his development path after the WJC.
Talent is not the issue or if he can cut it in the league, playing time is imho. What ever happens I trust GMKA
