While the result wasn’t the way we wanted it to go, the Canes showed some push back and some fight in them. Most teams would have given up. That’s a good sign to me. Also still up in the series with home ice advantage and the Canes notoriously aren’t the best on the road in the playoffs unfortunately. Still think it’s the Canes series to lose and hopefully we pull out some magic like we did in Game 4 against the Isles. I knew this was going to be a tough series and I expect the devils to get 2-3 wins in the series
This game proved that sometimes the sun shines on even a dogs ass every now and then.
its also true in football that the retaliation gets called. almost in every sport.
It felt like the Devils knew they had to press hard and open it up and score a lot, prove some points, and change momentum. All that pressing, the shorties makes some sense.
love carolinas fight..they are never out of a game really…nearly all year your right the posts …this could have been an 8-7 game carolina really gave them a couple on the goaltending level
If I'm the Devils, my happiness is a little lowered by Carolina still showing they can score on you. What are you going to do when you aren't scoring eight a game?

THE RANGERS made the mistake theyve been making for years they should NOT have fired gallant he coached a good teamall year until the gm brings in 2 star players withbigger egos than MSG which in turn destroyed the original chemistry of the team that was doing well all year…..these aging rentals expect to be in the top lines and in top minutes, ruin ing everything the rangers worked for all season. and anyone saying they shoudlve beat the Devils is stupid….the Devils were the better team all season including their 4 head to heads…..bringing in agin superstars as rentals has been a FAILING strategy for the Rangers since the 90s but for some reason in the middle of getting far away from that…they do it again and what happens? FAIL!!!!!

Just like the last round it's the New Jersey Devil's vs the referees. 2 of those goals by the canes would never have happened with proper officiating.

I'm a Canes fan, tonight was very entertaining regardless of the loss. Maybe they should give the Devils more power plays next time. Give the Devils 8 power plays and the Canes might have an 8 goal game themselves lol
