I have been a fan of this team since the inception when I was a kid and there have been more rough years than good ones. It’s true we live in an entertainment mecca that has all major sports teams, good weather, keys, Bahamas, and generally so much stuff to do that if any sports team isn’t winning people don’t care. I understand this generalization but there are a lot of real fans that enjoy this team and are not bandwagon fans.

I say this as a south floridian who follows the dolphins and doesnt watch NHL hockey outside of the playoffs and hasnt followed the panthers since 96…(i was in 6th grade that year)…
The reason the northern teams care more about their sports teams is When its cold (in the words of mystery alaska) there is nothing to do but drink and fornicate. When Our sports teams suck we dont care because its not cold and we can do 1 of a million things. when green bay or buffalo sucks theres nothing for them to do but Drink, go to the games, and stew on it…Its the same thing in North florida, UF Fans stay with their team no matter what, UM fans ONLY fill the stadium for UF, FSU, or a BIG GAME…
