Makes perfect sense why Backlund was so icy in his locker clean up day presser and said what he said. Hopefully the mood around the team is lighter going forward.
Also give Backs the C along with a reasonable contract, for the love of God

Sutter was an egotistical asshole that alienates professionals… shocker.
Wish him the best on the farm, but the guy is from a different time. The product sucked dick too.
I’ve never played hockey competitively so I don’t really have much of a leg to stand on for this topic.
That being said, I just cannot understand the need to birate and degrade players for motivation. Negative reinforcement is such a shallow motivator.
