The Leafs core is beyond talented. But sometimes you can put amazing talent together and it just does not work. It is a huge mental game and maybe it is time to acknowledge that this core just cannot handle that. That or it is just part of sports. The Sharks were a dominant team with a great core for years but could never get it done in playoffs from 2005-2006 to 2013-14. Perhaps that is just going to be what happens to the Leafs
