All the bruins veterans should retire after the biggest chock in NHL history? This is going too take years too come back from this. Who would buy season tickets after this?

  2. The biggest chokers in NHL history, the 2022-2023 Boston Bruins.

  3. There was a no reason not to continue alternating goalies. Ullmark maybe played 1 or 2 games in a row when Swayman was down with an injury earlier in the season. Other than that Ullmark was basically fresh the entire season. Playoffs is not the time to change the strategy, especially when Swayman played great for 90% of the season.

  4. Thanks you Bergeron and Krejci. Much love and although we lost last night, you still brought us a cup in my lifetime. Good luck on tue future and enjoy the family time 🐻🏆

  5. Feels absurd but I’m legitimately sad this is how Bergy is going out. He deserved better.

  6. what a shameful way to go out. appreciate what he did for the bruins but man this team and bergeron will never live this down.

  7. someone needs to be fired for this . this is unacceptable to have that kind of regular season and gag like that in round 1 of the playoffs against the garbage florida panthers. the bruins should have dispatched of them no problems but they didn't.

  8. 1. From his time in Buffalo, Ullmark is a choker. Just look up his loss in the last junior championship he played. he got shelled for something like 9 or 10 goals. Anybody can be great in a regular season at pro level. 2. Boston either knowingly or unknowingly has always engaged in extra-curricular thuggery. Holding other teams' jerseys, post-whistle fists to the back of the head, and other intimidation tactics that they get away with because…? Not this time. Florida matched them on that front without fear, otherwise they would have lost for certain. 3. Boston sucks. 🙂

  9. Everyone go online and go back to 27 seconds before Florida scored that tying goal and look up when your top left corner and see they already knew Florida scored? Either people can see the future or the game is rigged

  10. And guys we can play blame the goaltending all we want but it's the whole team they were just soft they have been for years nothing has changed they don't drastically shake up his roster they will never win and I know people are going to say I'm crazy but pasta needs to go when it comes down to the postseason he Fades away we need people that want to win a cup

  11. Bergeron has been the consummate professional throughout his career. A talented player who brings it all in his work ethic and leadership both on and off the ice. The guy is a guaranteed hall of famer. One of the great Bruins in the history of this franchise.

But it is probably time for the Bruins to move on from him in the same way the Blackhawks did with Toews.

It seems every year we get a report about Bergeron battling some injury throughout the playoffs. This year was no exception with his back issues. He'll be 38 his next birthday. The question is can he endure an 82 regular season schedule and then get through four rounds in the playoffs and still be an effective #1 center for the Bruins. I would respectfully submit that he cannot.

Coyle is not nearly as talented as Bergeron but he is younger, bigger, and faster. Zacha also to a lesser degree. The Panthers had more issues taking the puck from those guys during the first 4 games of the series. Once Bergeron and Krejci came back, their minutes obviously took away from Coyle and the Panthers were able to dominate the B's more. It was the same with O'Reilly when they lost to the Blues in 2019.

I think Kevin Paul Dupont is right. The Bruins need to sign O'Reilly in the off season. I would add that they need to resign Bertuzzi and Frederic, trade Ullmark, let the older unrestricted free agents walk, and start bringing up some of the Providence guys to fill in the holes.

O'Reilly, Zacha, and Coyle may not be the most talented centers and it may mean that the B's will not compete for first in the division let alone the league. But it would bring a grittier, stronger, and tougher role to the top three middlemen, and that will make a difference in the playoffs where the checking is tighter and the referees tend to put their whistles away.
