I didn’t even know that Taryn Hatcher played before her broadcast career.
I liked him
He was absolutely a solid defenseman for this team. His first year especially.
Definitely not the best but I think he was underrated and almost forgotten as a Flyer.
Hatcher was nasty. Remember what he did to Crosby?
Also you like who you like. I really believed in Pat Fallon when we traded for him. I thought he had the tools to be a really good nhl player. Turns out I was wrong, but hey, I still liked him as a player.
I liked him as a player even though I was too young to remember, and then I learned he was a Flyer so having this is so awesome to me!
My one enduring memory of Derian Hatcher will be an article I read previewing the 06-07 season. Each team had a preview and, for the Flyers, it was then-34 year old Derian Hatcher being in the best shape of his life.
I should have known then that that team was doomed.
He destroyed that weaselprick Roenick so Hatch is a not only a fav Flyer but a fucking all star!

Was super kind to me at the Flyers Wives’ Carnival when was like 11. Him and Cote were standing behind a concession stand and my mom told me to go over and get a picture. I thought we had to pay and didn’t want to be rude to him, but he saw me there and called me over to take a picture and get an autograph from him and Cote. Small gesture, but right up there with him chipping Crosby’s tooth in my Derian Hatcher memories.
