    There is only one man who can lead this group to a Cup and that is Mark Messier. He is the greatest motivational captain to have ever played the game. With Mess behind the bench the core players will rise to their greatest potential. They will thrive with Mark Messier standing behind them…

    Of the available NHL coaches, I like Laviolette the best, but maybe the Hartford coach deserves a shot too. Whoever it is, they HAVE to be able to manage the veterans and the rookies well together. That's key. Obviously They have to have good in game strategies, push the right buttons and be able to motivate, but managing the rookie talent in with the vets is going to be paramount.

    If the Rangers go from Gallant to Laviolette, they'll only be going from one Isles retread to another… Why change horses like that. Laviolette was already fired in NY because he lost the locker room. Good coach, but I don't see his style fitting with Rangers any better than Washington.

    If it's not burnette or Knoblauch it's the wrong decision. Idgaf if it's messier jagr gretzky. It'll be the wrong choice.

    I think if the Rangers dont have the absolute favorite guy then Knoblauch taking over for the interim
    He can get some experience while the Ramgers wait it out for their guy
    Dont rush it like they did with Gallant because we all know Gallant wasn't their number 1 choice
