  1. remind me again…how did the road team do in games 1 and 2 between Jersey and the Hurricanes? whatever

  2. As a Dallas fan, I have hate watching the national TV fee. They seem to always root for the other team. This is a good series.

  3. I compared Dallas and Seattle's team-building strategy as a really good matchup. I think one major difference is that Seattle will see a breadth of scoring contribution all the way down the lineup, even within the game. Dallas sees a breadth of scoring contribution, but it tends to ride one or two players that find a hot night, so while over the coarse of a series or season, Dallas has that depth, within a single game, you'll see primarily a few main contributors that had a hot night. The downside to that is if the opposing team can figure out who is playing well early in the game and adjust to double team them, then it has a chance of preventing Dallas from scoring as much.

If Dallas could get the system-encouraged contribution all the way down the lineup every night like Seattle, and keep the top-end talent they have, they'd be a very difficult team to beat. Let's see if DeBoer and crew can figure out how to win 2 more games against this deep Seattle team.

  4. Thank You Shannon!! For noticing what we fans see/hear ALL THE TIME. If we can't get Razor, we get dogged by the play callers, commentators, rink-side guy, the chick with the mic and the studio guys. Unless Dallas is winning and there's 5 mins left…they hate to give Dallas props.

  5. Great vid Shannon, love your coverage of these games! Would love to hear more of your personal thoughts after you get through the game breakdown.

Good bounce back win for the Stars, still need to play a full 60 minute game. 3rd period was shaky. Robertson has to get going. His skating is looking rough right now.

  6. I have never noticed the THG logo not starting on screen then having a little transition to appear on screen. And I watch a loooot of THG videos. Does it always do that?

  7. To me the maddening thing about the goaltender inference challenge is that there will never be an official explanation of the decision. Watching the replay in the stadium (some 80 times since the review took way too long) it seems clear that Gru was pushed initially at the edge of his crease but still mostly in it. That momentum carried him out of position where he was bumped into again after struggling to reset. If the first interaction never happens Gru would not be in the position he was so it seems pretty clear that impeded his ability to make a save. That said if the only interaction they take into account is the second bump right before the shot, then I would agree that's not enough to overturn the goal. It seemed to me that it was pretty clearly goaltender interference, but I was praying Hakstol would not challenge it because in this league on any given night no one knows what will be called Goaltender Interference.

  8. as a vegas fan if we get past Edmonton and Seattle gets past Dallas I would love to see Jones in net for obvious reasons

  9. OMG the cat and the way he's lying in his bed 😀 its so cute!

  10. If and when (most likely when but who knows) Dallas wins another one in this series.
Could you wear the mooterus jersey (if you have one) to make me feel a little better?

  11. I really enjoyed this game even as a kraken fan, the whole series has been fun to watch. I could’ve seen the goalie interference call go either way, Grubi’s feet were definitely in the crease but a lot of his upper body was leaned forward, so both would’ve felt like reasonable calls to me. He did make some great saves in the first as well, I don’t think there’s any chance Jones starts instead

  12. Great recap. Thank you for confirming what I thought about the commentary; I thought it was very Seattle-centric. Seems like it's been that way for years' though. I miss my home callers Daryl "Razor" Reaugh and Josh Bogorad, but I'll admit that they are usually Stars-centric. Anywho, thanks a bunch for the analysis and fair commentary.

  13. I love when the national announcers are so clearly biased towards one team it's so cool and awesome 🙄
