I kinda tested this in round 1. When leafs lost 7-3 to Tampa, there were about 11 posts here about leafs losing. When the leafs won the next game 7-2, there was two post about it. Sorting by Hot.
Leafs have the biggest fan base so they will always get more media attention than most, but they have insanely more haters than any other team in the league. That’s why most mainstream hockey media talk about the leafs the most. They get engagement from both sides.
