One or two of the big 4 will leave Toronto. Most likely matthews and nylander. Marner will get closer to 10 million so a small pay cut and Tavares will probably resign at half of what he is making now at 11 million so 6.5. Then we see which big name player has the balls to sign with the leafs.

Tavares is the worst contract. I don't know how the Leafs organization thought it would be a good idea to pay 10 million/year for a third-line caliber player near retirement.
As far as I know, nobody forced the Leafs to sign those contracts. IMO, these guys are performing pretty much as I expected.

I always get the impression that one.. or maybe two of them, but one for sure, doesn't care if they ever get the cup, why would they, they get paid a ton of money to play hockey… they don't get a bonus to win a cup so why should they produce more…
If they were the type of group that cared about the overall team construction enough to take less money…they would also be the type of group to show up in game 7s.
