Même s’il est difficile de passer au troisième choix, les Blue Jackets ont encore beaucoup de promesses dans le bassin de prospects

Still feel like we got scammed

until Carlsson becomes our 1st line stud center who wins the art Ross and Ted Lindsay every year I will hate dropping in this draft my life is over /s

I hate that we dropped when we should have stayed at 2 or moved up but it’s better than 4 and I mean we do have a deep prospect pool. Watch Dumais be better than Bedard. God I’d laugh so unbelievably hard

Yes, the CBJ cupboards are full and have a lot of potential, but that’s nothing new. Time to develop and execute.

The draft lottery was disappointing. The opportunity for a player like Bedard would have been legendary but a controversial take (and I’ll freely admit, a bit justifying) is that Bedard is a player we all want but a Fantilli or even a Carlsson is a player/piece we need.

This team needs size and a dependable 1C. We cant predict what a 5’10” center of Bedard’s talent will bring to the NHL without some bodies on his line to “pick-n-roll” for him but we do know that a 6’3” C that can consistently compete with pros will be a mainstay. To be clear, would have loved Bedard, but we’re not getting him and for the sake of optimism, (assuming CBJ pick him) a player like Carlsson will really round out our prospect pool.

That’s fine and dandy that we have a really too heavy prospect pool. Until we have actually proven that we can really develop players i’ll hold off the the excitement.

I’m bummed about dropping spots in the draft but I’m still worried about getting a good coaching staff.
