3rd period was all Canadians. We were lucky to get a point. I honestly would've put Stillman out in the shootout after that nasty little fake he had. Could've at least been interesting.
This game luckily the Sabres got a point instead of none. Thankful the reserves stepped up in this game.

Sabres are fighting for a playoff spot at home and they couldn't turn it up a notch? They played the 3rd period like they were up 5-2 not 3-2. Sabres should have closed it in the third- locked tight. If I was the coach I would have got them going or else! No excuses!
Why did olofsson and mittelstadt go in the shoot out? Knew they wouldn’t score.

I thought Montreal played a really strong game but I would have not put Olofsson on the shootout. He never scores on breakaways. I would have put Rousek as first shooter. Despite the wrath this will incur, I don't want to see Levi play until the Sabres playoffs chances are mathematically gone. Why?? Because he wasn't there with the group all year. They are all playing for each other. Comrie deserved that start with the last game. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Third period was embarassing.! You have a 1 goal lead in a must win game at home and you cant close it out against an injury riddled Habs team! BRUTAL!
Again no net traffic , Allen saw every shot and once again only 10 hits in a game. This was a must win game and the effort was embarassing. Oh but next practice will be back to a country club atmosphere, laughng and giggling ! Soft coach + soft practices = soft team! This loss and the loss at home to CBJ will come back to haunt this team !
Not surprised with Pezzettas shootout goal celebration as he was a douche bag in the OHL with Sudbury ! I hope the Sabres remember that celebration and make him pay for it!🤬🤬
Meh We traded Scoring chances both ways it was Really a Toss up. It is what it is. Still alive. It makes a big Difference when your Top scorer and Top Defensive Dman arent in.
The best way to describe this season "I'm not mad, just disappointed."
Another bad thing when the sabres pr posted their usually post game score lots of people said some nasty stuff which makes the sabre's community look bad
Have to think the fact the team played in front of 5000 ppl crowds coming out of Covid and in to this season that they may be a bit bitter towards the home crowd. That resentment might be distracting them.

The Buffalo "Puppies"… Why the puppies… Because they followed the hockey players all around the ice (vs trying to beat them to the puck), they followed the Habs all around the ice like good little puppies. They didn't deserve to win… Comrie didn't deserve to lose… Really glad Levi wasn't there to get hung out to dry… I was really glad 61 and 13 got goals… If I'd paid to see this game, I'd want my money back… Just standing around, waiting for real hockey players to hand them the puck so they can make a scoring rush, that ain't Sabre Hockey… That's puppy hockey… Of course it doesn't help when officials have no idea of what a hand pass is or a crosscheck is.. Go Puppies !!!
The ending of the season is becoming very frustrating. Casey Mittelstadt on a shootout when you need a win is mind boggling.

Mittelfat on ice losing importance OT faceoffs and him in shootout missing net as usual. I would have put Cozens for those draws.
Jack Quinn is looking better each week, all he needs to do is use a Gretzky large stick blade and put baby powder on the tape so he doesn’t lose the puck off the blade all the time.
On that Gallegher goal, Cozens had him lined up for big hit but he didn’t touch the midget. Lay out that Smurf.
Keep Rousek in the lineup and sit olofsson
I thought we were missing Thompson tonight, Once again, with his big opportunity, Mittlestadt brought nothing to that line. Quinn played far better on that line when he filled in for Tage. I'll be shocked if they don't move CM this off-season…
Casey mittlstatt, victor oloffson, and Jacob Bryson should never play a game in a Sabres sweater again

Why is Donny getting cute with the shootout lineup… First 2 shooters are Olofsson and Mittlestadt? Two guys that haven't scored in months it feels like… Frustrating… On top of it, the line who had the most jump Cousins, Quinn, Peterka barely played in the 3rd and the Okposo line was out there for what felt like half the period… SO dumb. This is why we lose games… Get into a shell with one of the worst defensive teams in history.
Congratulations to Rousek first game first shift first goal love it. Can't say much else about the game except goaltending. Same collapse all season with the defensemen. Same response from the coach. I would like to see everyone below Donny gone next season. Sticking with this system has me concerned. Sabres leading the way to take the physical out of the game it's embarrassing honestly

I hate shootouts. In my opinion, there is not a worse way to end a hockey game. Glad Buffalo got a point, but another disappointing result. Granato with some very questionable decisions in the shootout. No way would I have put Olofsson or Mitts out there.
Strange how they play against sub-par teams.
As a way to look at positives and negatives we can be happy that forward progression has helped change the culture in Buffalo but Adam's and Granato need to address the big issues in the off season and key to that is improving the home form. A sub 500 home record is not acceptable for a team on the up, if the coaches can't alter that then they aren't getting the job done. 🤔
We got a Super Talented club, with Crazy Young players. It's a Maturity thing that these Kids need to go thru, like a learning experience. It's easy for us to roll our eyes, but it's a real thing. First time with playoff pressure for 95% of them and they are cracking a little. But, I do expect better things to come, as Soon as NEXT year !!
