Yes, sure Michkov will come play to NHL in 2026. He will get drafted just to increase his stock in KHL. He will never come to the NHL especially if he becomes a star. Yes, the situation in Russia is that bad.
The fact that the KHL wants to lock him up because he is so talented gives me even more reason to draft him. You want a good top 6 player like Dvorsky or you take the risk of trying to get someone who can win us a Stanley Cup. It's your choice, but for me the only risk is to let another team draft someone who has franchise potential.
