The Sabres have the third best prospect pool according to Dobber Prospects.

I stopped reading after “Hellebuyck and the Sabres could be a perfect match” because I needed to take a cold shower. Yes god please somehow bring him to Buffalo.

Levi, Power, Quinn > Wallstedt, Rossi, Addison. All day.

The “all they really need is a goalie” completely turned me off of this article bc thats clearly not the main issue here.

We ranked third, and yet I feel like this is an incomplete and cursory look at our prospects.
For instance, who is Ryan Davis listed at #15 on our depth chart? Viljami Marjala over Nadeau? No Novikov, Lindgren, or Komarov (who’s been much better than I thought this year and why KA’s off-the-board pick looks better now).

I don’t disagree with the goalie comment but for everyone who watched it was a whole team effort when they got blown out. I think the writers touching on our young guys getting older/more experience should equate to better team/defensive play. I still think that a veteran to start the majority of the games and easing Levi into his role is the correct play for this year, and this list shows we have the prospect pool to make a move for someone like Saros or Hellebuyck

15. Ryan Davis? … Sure he he was a late round pick who retired in the mid 2K’s, but those Dobber guys will never give up hope.

Dobber is far higher on Rossi than I am.
I am an idiot though so take that with a grain of salt.
