From an outsider’s perspective, I would hope that y’all don’t tear it down to the studs. Not even in a backhanded way. Following LFR this year it seems like this team is fun but flawed around the edges. It’d suck to see dudes like Matthews, Marner etc end up being someone else’s missing piece in the same way that it pains me to see former Preds be the missing pieces to other teams’ successes.

Loved the team, loved the talent, loved the trade deadline, and I loved the way they pulled it out in round 1. THE BIG ISSUE is not being soft, being talentless, or not having the right guys.. It's that we are a team who's literally picking the lineup out of a hat 82 games a year + as many games that we survive the playoffs. No matter how good of a team you put forward, you cannot go up against great teams who have every guy on the same page, completely in sync and giving their all, if you're NOT PREPARED as a team and you're just improvising every single game. The word is sum this year up with is "Un-Rehearsed". And as much as I love Keefe for everything else, he has failed to prepare and rehearse our team for years, it's a coaching failure, and if they come back 2024 with Keefe, there is no way I'll have hope for a run regardless of the roster we put forward because I know he will never establish a lineup and make sure we are prepared for the playoffs come hell or high water.
Pray for some Shannahan clarity this off season. I don't get why people aren't talking about this aspect more.. For every great winning team, players and fans know exactly who's on their top 6 and who their top D pair is because those lines don't change, at least not in the last half of the year. We still don't know that in an elimination games of round 2..

Steve, I think everyone has completely forgotten that the Panthers finished 1st overall last year. Their shutdown style will probably write their ticket to the cup. Make no mistake, the teams they've yet to face have no idea what's coming. They've just eliminated Top seed Bruins and 2nd overall Leafs. They're contenders folks. Leafs played their hearts out last night! Proud to be a fan of Canada's hockey team!

This team wasn’t built for the officiating in the playoffs. The officiating was so bad. Such a shame a team has to play so differently during the playoffs. Btw, I’m calling Radko Badass for interference on that OT goal. But, it’s the “playoffs” so his stick wasn’t between Jarny’s legs.

Thank you for the great hockey content. As a Florida panthers fan, there just isn't coverage of my team so i have to watch other channels to see any related content. I'm really sorry for your team losing. Austin Matthews is one of my favorite players, and Nylander definitely grew on me a bunch this series. Have to say i thought this was gonna be a goal scoring series but it was rather defensive. Toronto best goal was the 2 on 1 in game 3 tbh. Interference on Jarny, Goudas held his stick as well which opened up lane for GWG. Ref had zero pucks to call it
Matthews used to be one of the best at back-checking… the number of times he (you can add Marner and Nylander to this list as well) just lazily followed the play left me flabbergasted. The core 4 (save perhaps, Nylander) has proven that they are not playoff players.
A player who was pretty much a non factor except throwing dirty hits all series , your gonna scream in a rookie goalies face when someone else on your team scored . 🤦♂️ to quote the great chael.. “ classsy”
