  1. Oilers need to play physical for these last 2 (hopefully) games. I’m talking game 4 levels. Hindsight is 20/20 but when you give up 2 quick goals that fast, call a time out. Yeah it’s the power play but they just created momentum. So far Jays use of timeouts has not impressed me. (My opinion)

  2. Broberg played fine. And one of those was a bad penalty. There was a ref right there and a ref 75ft. Away called it. BULLSNNT

  3. Knights fan here got much respect for y’all this series is definitely not over yet don’t watch much hockey till it gets to Playoffs . Mcdavid is a hell of a player if y’all had a top tier goalie you’d be scary this has been a great series so far and I don’t expect any less for the rest of the series don’t hang your heads I am certainly nervous about this series

  4. The reason they lost… Is because they stopped hitting. Simple as that.

I turned it off after the 3rd straight there and what I did watch, saw maybe 3 good hits.

We know this throws Vegas off their game so it's baffling they would stop. I lay this loss directly on Jay, someone must have told them to ease up.

  5. It’s been talked about so much already but the Oilers keep getting scored on in bunches. 90 seconds and Vegas scores 3 times! At this point I think starting Soup is worth a shot.

  6. Not sure who watched the leafs last year, that's why we signed Campbell. Skinner is great for a rookie. Campbell found his game at the end of the year , took awhile, but it will be Campbell that takes us to a cup.

  7. i dunno about Broberg.
The 1st penalty, he had to take, would have been a great scoring chance for Vegas after he blew a wheel.
    2nd penalty shouldn'T have been a penalty.
The centre ice guy overruled Chris Lee who stood right beside Broberg and Eichel…Eichel grabbed Brobie's stick twice 😀

  8. Look we all know this games vs knight wasn't going to be easy and just like last year, the Oilers need to dig deeper to win the series! Very proud of the Oilers the last Canadian team ✊🏽💯🇨🇦

  9. I like Skinner but he’s average. Oilers need an elite goaltender. I think you have to go with Campbell and cross your fingers.

  10. In my opinion I think Oilers lost this game at the very end of game 4 when Nurse decided to fight. He's supposed to be a leader in this team and knew he could get suspended. I know they both wanted to fight, but I think he got the timing completely wrong on this one. A wise leader always keeps his calm and patience be making a decision. I would go for Campbell in goal for sure. Whatever has to happen will happen. But I still think Oilers can go through. Btw they they just lost the battle not the war.

Fifth game of the series and again discipline is the key word. This time it's in a bad way as the Oilers lacked it and came up short. They ran out of time and simply weren't the better team this day. All of their scoring came on the PP (75% tonight), Leon kept off the boards. Only Connor and Hyman scored (Connor twice), Bouch with 2 assists, 2 apples for Nuge as well and Hyman got an assist in addition to his goal so we have 4 players with 2 points. Skinner yanked before the end of the 2nd period. Okay, giving up a 5 on 3 PP goal, sure, it's likely. Giving up the 5 on 4 PP goal well was hoping for more from the PK and Skinner. That gave VGK the lead and they kept it and built on it a minute later with a 5 on 5 goal. Hence the yank.

Campbell was lights out for the remainder of the 2nd period and all of the 3rd period. I can see him as starting game 6 but can also see Skinner going back in too. He plays well after getting the hook. The Oilers could NOT stay out of the box. Broberg TWICE (and he only played just over 6 minutes) including the first of the 5 on 3 PP goals by VGK. Janmark was responsible for the 2nd 5 on 4 PP goal. Broberg apparently is "grabby" with 2 holding penalties and Janmark had a high stick. Foegele had a FOUR Minute High Stick in the 3rd period that the Oilers killed but still, with that double high stick the Oilers are listed with SEVEN penalties to the Golden Knights four. Kolesar boarded Ekholm (hope he's okay because loosing him would be BAD) and was chucked with a game misconduct.

There is no "politically correct" way of being even remotely close to candid about the flushable officiating in this one. I just remember they're human. They boys have to win the next two to advance to the 3rd round. We're now in MUST WIN territory. Take care all.

  12. From @EdmontonOilers Jay Woodcroft "we took 7 penatlies. 6 minutes of those were high sticks. We took undisciplined penalties. The only one I didn't think was a penalty was the one on Broberg

Don't do dumb stuff . Eventually dumb stuff catches up. Lol
It has been on going problem this run.

They need to Figure that out.

Championship teams say like avs last yr rarely did dumb stuff to allow momentum shift. They made u earn it.

Edm getting in their own way . Figure that out edm will be very hard to beat.

I don't think they r ready yet . That is the lesson this run : discipline . Hope i am so wrong.

Thinking about it , At least Petro had a sense to wack a star player.

Nurse a top pair why is he wasting his time with a 3rd pair d man . At least go after one of their top player. To me that is a low hockey IQ play. Need to learn from it too. Up 4-1 . Emotions in check. Twice he has put his teammates in this situation this yr and last yr playoffs. . Need to learn from this.

  13. The whole game turned with a bad call from the ref. Broberg's 2nd penalty should have been 2 minutes on Eichel for holding the stick, and an Oilers PP.

  14. I really like Skinner, he has got lots of good years ahead, but Campbell looks like he is ready. I think against this team we are going to have to put our faith in Campbell’s abilities. Much respect to Skinner for getting us this far.

  15. Jack Campbell should have started the series against Vegas. If that would have made a difference… who knows. Still the same problem, mediocre goaltending and teams shutting down Connor and Leon for the most part, then nothing else from anyone in the lineup. Like we've had for many years.
