Après deux saisons pour la plupart réussies, Gallant est sorti en tant qu’entraîneur-chef de NYR. Cela n’est pas une surprise majeure après la sortie décevante du premier tour. La recherche de Chris Drury pour combler le poste vacant commence. Le #2 Sports Show de New York est une production Influencer Audio. ya gotta read the investigative report into the Q thing that was made public, and not the hearsay… It was very suspect whether it was even assault and not something mutual… and Q thought it would be handled and it was a rumor at the time, in the middle of cup finals. You need to put the situation in context and read that report from the investigative firm. I believe Panthers would have won the cup last year had that drama not have taken place.
I am concerned about the effect that Joel Quenneville will have on the locker room. I'm concerned the players will not be able to respect somebody as deplorable
I'm Surprised The Assistants, who, as Gallant said, Ran The PP & PK weren't Let God First Or Instead.
Let me know what you think
Chris Drury might have done A Left-Handed (indirect – being Left-Hand Dominant, I don't know why They Use That Term instead of Indirect) Favor. I'm seeing that Gallant Drags Kelly (& Maybe Murphy, too) With Him, wherever He Goes (Vegas – at the very least). By Chris Drury Keeping Them (Lord Knows Why), If Gerard Gallant Gets Hired, It's Going To Have To Be With Other Assistants. Maybe, that's His Blessing In Disguise (He'll Find Better Assistants). Let me know what you think (especially given the fact that Chris Drury Fired Him And Kept The Assistants – My View, is Chris Drury Likely Had Originally wanted to Fire The Assistants, Like The Devils did for Lindy Ruff, Gallant said, No! – So, Chris Drury decided to Let Him Go, And, Keep Them, For Spite? Who knows. Let me know what you think
Last year I’d have said it was a long term relationship, but he deteriorated heavily this year. He seemed unable to adjust, unwilling to work with players, and incapable of adjusting lines for any semblance of chemistry
I know everyone is hesitant with Joel Q but I think theirs only a few options the rangers should do knoblach, Roy, or Quennville rangers have to play the kids in the top 6 next year all year gallant said he was gonna do it but never actually did he said I’m not gonna bury them on the 3rd and 4th line but he did he never gave them more than like 10 games on the top 2 lines they have to just keep them there and at this point when it comes to moving someone to right wing if they have to move panarin I wouldn’t do anything to cater to his liking he’s lost his right to call the shots
The Rangers needed role players that play with some sand in there game to help the talent that’s on this team. No, Drury goes and gets rentals, what message did he sent too the team, there not good enough they need MORE talent. Drury shit the bed , oh yea it’s was Gallant’s fault. One step forward three steps back. The merry go round continues.
Gallant is certainly guilty of not making adjustments but what adjustment options did he have? Imo Drury's roster tweaks since the end of the Lightning series in 22 have been all wrong. He just piled on more of what we already had instead of getting the grit we needed.
Expectations were high for the Rangers this season but they regressed big time
Had Jacob Trouba didn't fire up the players back in December they wouldn't been playing playoff hockey for all of April and just one day in May
Gallant had a chance to use a timeout in some of the games that they were losing badly against the Devils and he didn't bother doing that
And this falls on him but the players deserve most of the blame because they didn't adjust for Games 3 and 4
As far as who's going to coach the Rangers, Larry Brooks of the NY Post says that coach Q won't be one of the candidates do they want to go back with Alain Vigneault he was horrible with the Flyers in the 21-22 season
Daryl Suter was let go from the Flames because he didn't connected well with the players and that's something that the Rangers don't want
Bruce Boudreau should be a candidate for the Rangers coaching job, does Patrick Roy wants to go back to coaching in the NHL that's on him, Dallas Eakins was let go from the Anaheim Ducks and they didn't went to the postseason
This is going to be a very long off season for the Rangers and they need to think very hard when it comes to searching for a new coach who wants to bring on the best of all of the players
Watching know-nothing ranger fans searching for answers gives me joy.
I wouldn't be so quick to want Panarin out!! He is one of the reasons we even made the playoffs. You don't just all of a sudden replace that point production out of thin air. He had a bad series, shit happens
Just imagine if we hire a coach and we end up with less points or miss the playoffs… Geez. Gallant has set a pretty high bar, next coach has to win a cup next year or they better fire him. lol
We need a progressive voice now. The nhl is ruled by speed, skill and analytics now. You have to be able to analyze the games to learn where and how to create open ice out there. You also need a structured neutral zone presence bc transition offense is too deadly. Wether you forecheck aggressive to keep turning pucks over from your opponent or smother your blue line and create a wall to prevent your opponent zone entry. I’m still convinced our defense was better w/ Jacque Martin. You also need to play your best players and learn where they work best. GG always felt like he didn’t have actual answers. When the rangers were struggling all he could do was decide who’s in and who’s out, and who’s playing where. And more often then not those decisions had a negative impact.
Our biggest issue as an organization and it has been for 20 something years is developing our drafted talent! Happened to Kreider with Torts, up and down from minors to the bigs like a yo-yo.. Kreider would have been what he is now a lot sooner if he was just kept up with the big club. Now look at Laffy and Kakko.. spats of weeks on the first line, second line then back to the third line, their draft positions scream no less than second line minutes as they have the talent to develop and produce quick. Look at Stutzle (taken 2 spots after Laff) and Hughes (taken right before Kakko @#1) both these guys no lower than second line minutes and producing big numbers. We shoot ourselves in the foot constantly with development (other than drafting goalies). I tried to think of the last real standout draft pick we have had that was exciting (not sure if Kreider fits that), from all the talk it should have been Laffy… the best i could come up with is Kovalev (if you think of another, help me out) lol
Joel Q is not coming. Drury announced they are not considering him.
I believe GG will stay put at home or as a commentator and collect his remaining $3.5M x 2 years. Why would he rush back into coaching after all of that?
Take off the Lundqvist jersey as you are showing that you back another non winning player.
Continuity is out the window!
Glorious day🎉🎉🎉🎉 Gallant had nothing to do with the upside of this team it was all the players no system no accountability if you don’t get 107 points with that roster you’re sabotaging the team
Mike Keenan has to come back to crack the whip.
Losers!!
The players in game 1 and 2 were on fire. In fact some records tied. The team and many the players let down. They shot their load and put together a good game 6. I'm sure there is some blame for the coach but the players were not even close to being ready to play game 7. In the end Gallant is a scapegoat as the players didn't step up. The players are suppose to make plays ad they didn't. Gallant does put the skates on the players do. Where was Panarin, Mika and company? Where were the veterans to rally the team? Putting in a new coach and new system is usually a step backwards. 2 playoffs in 2 years as a coach is very solid but apparently not for the front office. I think this is a mistake but only time will tell.
