    Nope. Leafs screwed themselves. Once the Florida pick wasn’t at top 5, top 10 minimum, I didn’t care for the pick. Looking forward to the hopeful dismantling of the leafs. And Matthews gone within 14 months. Enjoy aging Tavares. 😂

    How about a trade between Detroit & Montreal of first round draft picks? Montreal's 5th and 29th pick for Detroit's 9th and 18th pick? Arizona will ask for more from Montreal, than Detroit probably would, Arizona might want a second round pick from Montreal. Detroit would probably take a third or fourth round pick. Detroit needs to move up. They are closer to the play offs than either Montreal or Arizona.

    Its a pick we got for Ben fricken Chariot….and early 2nd round wouldve been awesome for that trade and we get a 1rst round? Fk yeah! A top 10 for this wouldve been a miracle, a first half a blessing and a bottom half is still very good. PLUS WE GET TO HAVE THE LEAFS STORY.
    I get it its easier to be negative but gosh, this is absolutely great for us in all aspect.

    If the Habs wanted to protect the Florida draft pick they would have traded someone to the Penguins so they could win a couple of games and finish higher in the standing then Florida.

    Also; I don’t think you’re looking at the big picture.. two of the best teams in our division are now confused, miserable, and without direction; as the Habs have been rebuilding for two years already.

    I'm happy the Panthers beat the Leafs because it means the 1st Round Pick the Red Wings got from the Islanders by way of Vancouver is a bit higher!
