i'm tired of Marner. his fear has cost this team a stanley cup or at the very least, having a look at it.
the heart of this teams problem is mitch marner. he's not the only problem, but he is the #1 problem. Keefe is next. we can go on about the rest of the team all we want but when your main ingredients fail, it spoils the whole stew. marner is the backbone. he fails in the playoffs. i don't mean failing just a little, he totally folds up because of being scared to get hit. i can see teams targeting this but even so, he is not totally shut down if he would just hold on to it to make a play instead of rushing his stuff and turning it over all the time. Keefe is next. give me a good coach and Tkachuk and tell me we wouldn't be up 2-1 in this series. Dubas stays. he put together a good enough team to go further. if Dubas was smart , he would be in the dressing room ripping mitch marner a new asshole.

Keefe depends way too much on depth players in situations where they are not meant to excel. Look at his use of justin Holl. Maybe Holl wouldnt be so much of a liability if he wasn't depended on like hes victor Hedman and had more appropriate minutes.

I don't understand why people say dubas should stay. He hired Keefe, he signed jt, marner, and matthews 11 million each. He's given away a ton of firsts for players who arent really making an impact. I dont get why people like him. It was already a winning team when dubas got promoted to gm
Why would Penguins want the biggest loser in the playoffs Dubas – with massive contracts, 14 Ass't G/M's, the best of everythig in terms of facilities and staff and he has built a brutal playoff team. He got luck with the Matthews Lotto Draft ball, good pick with Marner, but brutal acquisition of JT that was the start of the downfall of this team build. No cap room, no core d-men, no solid goalie tandem. Just brutal GM work.
Matthews did not look comfortable on the bench with his wrist/arm – doesn't look good.

What are they missing? I've been saying for over 2 years they needed to acquire Josh Anderson and Ben Chiarot from Habs regardless of the cost, instead of wasting the same money on Tavares. Instant toughness, and high skill level and speed in Anderson who steps up in the playoffs. Can you imagine Anderson on your 3rd line with O'R'eilly and top pairing of Rielly and Chiarot? Transformational move and guaranteed 2 rounds of playoff wins.

Leaf fans shouldn’t be out trolling the Leafs after the game 3 loss. This is just how this Leafs core plays in the playoffs. Good baseball teams get good pitching as a priority & good NHL teams secure goaltending required to win – they don’t use College goalies like the Leafs do. If you want a playoff team – trade Marner. If Leaf fans want good regular seasons & individual records – just pay Marner $25 Million and pretend he is an NHL superstar like Edmonton’s two stars. I enjoyed following Leafs. Sports fans enjoy crashes at car races & ski jumps. Back in the 1960’s – TV sports started with a crash – called the “Agony of Defeat”. Leafs are fun to watch & they entertain with The Agony of Defeat shown in their playoff ways.

Seven years. I’m thinking media and fan base makes Mathew’s a superstar when in reality he’s comparable to Phil kessel. Very good player but not superstar. Mathew’s has disappeared too many times and doesn’t show and leadership skills.
