Eddie's baby brother! Love the content, never miss a day. We don't need to win every game, we just need to get 4 out of 7. I know its early, but Cardiac Kings 2.0?
The anti-playoff beard! Love it!
What a f—ing game let's go kings whoooooo
The game was over 3 in the morning were I live was so pumped I never got to sleep till 5 GKG
What’s pretty crazy is that the Kings were actually leading on SOG at the end of regulation 31-29. However once OT started, the Oilers outshot the Kings 9-0 initially before the Kings got their first SOG in it. That’s another thing Edmonton must be thinking about now. Came back and outshot the Kings after the demoralizing tying goal late in regulation before the game ended only to put it behind them and come out like gangbusters in OT only to lose it by taking another dumb penalty and then have nothing to show for it this time as there is no “loser” point in the playoffs.
No gimme game Game 2 Kings. Live and learn from last season now.
Kings didn't shock the Oilers. Kings finally figured it out the formula of success against the Oilers. Put Esa Tikkanen (Danault) against Gretzky (McDavid) and make Oilers D commit unforced errors and/or commit bonehead penalties, particularly during transition from D to O. 😅
Excellent show 😊
I've never seen an Oiler team throw away a win like they did in this one. Wow. some really Juvenile players still. Having said that, Oilers in 6)
Start strong tomorrow, put the doubts in their head. Chase Skinner early
Nothing to explain with the penalties, just watch Vincent's post interview. He thought he saw something else and in expressing his dismay I think fueled the fans. In post he's asked about it and he said he took a really dumb penalty. You try for puck or whatever you want go with and it gets skate. Always called.
Now for fans throwing shyt at the players? Raiders fans now? What is wrong with you people? Smh
Eddie, I never thought the Kings could win after being hammered physically & execution-wise after 2 periods, as Oilers had massive possession for the first 40 minutes! But the Kings showed lots of heart to hang in there defensively, never giving up, and also began hitting back to show they weren't soft. Kardiac Kings comeback was epic! Kopi, Korpi, Arvy, Danault on McDavid, and Kempe were brilliant! GKG!!!
Very good win from the Kings yesterday, your right about them containing McDavid and they have to keep doing that if they want to win this series. I believe in the Kings getting it done Wednesday night, Copley should start the game but with korpi's showing in Game 1 he can start again but I would start Copley, also with the powerplay unit, it has to get better as the series goes on and the PK, all these factors coming together, the kings have a good chance of winning the series. Go Kings Go
Are we going to see Vilardi or Fiala anytime soon?? I just think we are going to need that depth to win this series.
I never gave up hope. In the 2nd i saw it coming and even started calling it. Kings fans were complaining but i never wavered.
To me , yes clutch PP but to me Korpisalo was the guy,,,, he made the saves that Quick did not last year to keep them in the game,,, PS Doughty being there really showed,,, as for the Oilers tale it from an Avs fan ,,, the Oilers will start to get dirty when they can win,,, last year’s playoffs they went after a few of our players after they saw there was no winning legally,,, don’t be surprised if Kane will go after one of your best players
I wonder what "jabba-the-hut" did after his oilers lost…all that arrogance and no where to vent it. I hope he didn't eat any of his fans. So the humble Kings finally get their due. And thank you, Drew Doughty for setting creepy mcdavid aside for his cheap-shot hit on Mikey Anderson. That was one thing I really wanted someone on the Kings to address. And no matter how much respect I have for mcdavid for his ability to master the game of hockey, when such a player sees the need to try and hurt a player from an opposing team, his life is irrelevant and needs to be addressed in a burtuzzi manner! Congrats. to the Kings and it's still great hearing Eddie's positive reviews-no matter what!!!
Cpt. Obvious; we all know Kempe has to impact, we all watched the game ..what is the skinny with Fiala? that would be real reporting.

Oilers fan and first time listener – this was one of the best post-game shows I've watched. You didn't get overexcited and make a bunch of wild claims and bad takes, you made a good faith effort to address other points of view and explain yours without calling theirs wrong, and you displayed impressive hockey knowledge. Looking forward to your game 2 review (the IMOTLDR is the Oilers dummied the Kings then damn near pissed it away again). I agree with most of what you said, particularly some idiots making the Oilers fanbase look like a bunch of… I'd rather not say. They price those damn tickets too high and it changes the type of person who is able to get in the door. Embarrassing. LA has the edge in goal, Korpisalo's been real sharp and Skinner's showing real promise, but with a rookie goalie playing his first playoff game you just hope he isn't the reason you lose, and credit to Skinner, he wasn't. I agreed with every penalty called until the OT one, it was technically tripping but the reason he wasn't in charge of his stick was that he had just been hauled down in an extralegal (ie not worthy of an OT penalty) fashion by the same guy who tripped on his stick (there's also the timeless "but they let X go right before that" but that basically goes without saying). IMO it followed the letter, but not the spirit, of the rule. A bureaucrat's penalty. "Technically correct – the best kind of correct." That said, my expectations of NHL refs are so low that I'm fine with it. I just hope that standard is applied consistently going forward (c:laugh_track.mp4). That was as fair as a managed match can get. Oilers played exactly the game they wanted then made some bad decisions and squandered it. They lost that game on their own merits. Credit to the Kings for hanging around and taking the chances they got. IMO if the Oilers can get out of their own way the Kings have a real hard row to hoe, but the Kings have proven they can rope-a-dope us. Gonna be exciting.
