  1. This series has a huge amount of drama (Maurice v Canes; Maurice v his protege Brindamour; Eric Staal v Canes; Staal v Staals; the old Southeast division; sports talking heads getting confused and talking about the Carolina Panthers; the beard battle between Radko Gudas and Brent Burns). And the actual hockey on the ice will be a clinic in forechecking, puck pursuit, and puck management that will be shown in locker rooms for the next decade.

I will be proud to be one of the 5 people outside of Carolina and Florida to actually watch it.

  2. Unfortunately I’m not even gonna watch this series…No interest can’t stand both teams.

  3. Steve and Adam are the only "experts" that I have seen pick FL to win against Carolina. FL has clearly earned some respect in Toronto. 💯👍

  4. Every series the Canes go into. The Canes hear how great of a goalie they are going up against and how they are so hot. Sorokin in the 1st, then Schmidd, now Bob.

  5. To be honest, this is quite possibly the worst Eastern Conference Finals matchup ever! This is terrible. The fact that the Leafs aren't in the Eastern Conference Finals is completely bs! Why aren't the Leafs in the Eastern Conference Finals facing with the Hurricanes? This is an outrage!

  6. Yet another series when these hockey "experts" talk allllll about how tough it will be for Carolina to overcome the goaltending of the other team, now 3 series in a row, just laughable… Canes in 6 – their defense and forecheck will prove to be deadly. Just need to watch out for dirty plays from Gudas/Bennett/Tkachuk

  7. Bobrovsky is in the zone. But Florida won't be able to push around Carolina like they did Toronto. In fact, Tkachuk, Bennett, and Gudas will need to play with their heads on a swivel.

  8. Having watched Florida's play against the Leafs… 4-0 Carolina.
This Panthers team has the heart but they're not nearly as skilled as their results indicate, meanwhile Carolina has proven that they're the complete package.

  9. I agree with Steve….Jesse is always wrong about the Panthers, he still thinks leafs in 4.

  10. You'll find the Canes are more than happy to get involved in a physical game at the boards that slows down & gets ugly. That's literally their game, too. Canes & Panthers are near mirror images. Going to be brutal for both teams all series. The biggest thing the Panthers have to overcome is the Canes' ability to make things happen at every moment of the game & how they build from team defense. The whole Bunch of Jerks era has been defined by active sticks when out of possession & high team Corsi. For the Canes, they have to avoid the mistakes of the Islanders series & be disciplined when guys like Tkachuk & Gudas muddy the game up.

  11. "I don't see how Florida can possibly win when Carolina is so good at" all the things the Boston Bruins were good at…

  12. Leafs fans have been given so many brain worms by their playoff losses over the years. Florida beat the leafs and bruins so they must be the best team in playoff history right? No disrespect to the panthers, they’ve shown up but Bob is the most hot/cold goalie in the league the past 5 years. He could easily turn it off as easily as he turned it on. Just cause the leafs failed doesn’t mean other teams will.

  13. Canes in 6 guys come on. I had the Canes beating the Bruins in my bracket and I have no reason to think otherwise. Mad respect to Florida but I've had the Canes winning the Cup from the get-go.

  14. Interesting picks but, I think a lot got missed here. Carolina has been playing against bob for years, he was in division on CBJ and they played the covid season in his division when he went to the panthers. Canes are well aware of how to beat him and he has as big of a 5 hole as Freddie if not more.Speaking of odd man rush, Devils liked to get to the odd man rush and they got SMOTHERED in round 2. Plus you guys didn't mention Carolina's best fighter in Noesen, he will step in and deal with players if he has to. There's also plenty of Bodies to go around for the canes if Florida does try anything, Teuvo and Puljujarvi are the extras with maceachern in.
Key will be if they can get to their game, not get dragged into the mud and just play the hockey they have been playing, the panthers are just the islanders with a little more scoring talent and a little less goal tending skill. With that said, I think it will go longer than last 2 more than likely, the real tell will be if they can get over their game 3 struggles because if it continues to be an issue, panthers will take 3 and 4 to make this a 7 gamer.

  15. Canes in 5, first series the Panthers will play where they aren’t the most physical team on the ice
