[Friedman] La ville de Tempe vote pour rejeter le projet proposé de Coyotes Arena

Il semble qu’il ne reste peut-être plus d’équipe de l’Arizona pour que Matthews aille

A step in the right direction.

Sucks for the hockey fans in Arizona. You’d think this would be a deathnail, but my suspicion is more of this shit show.

And that’s the end of the yotes

If this team moves to a city that wants a hockey it could do wonders for the cap ceiling

Really feel for the yotes fans tbh, it appears there was a pretty aggressive misinformation campaign set up to hurt the vote.

Leafs haters are quickly deleting Matthews to Arizona tweets

Quebec City is calling. Answer, Coyotes! 😎

Hopefully this forces the owners to sell and we get another team in Canada

Sucks for Coyotes fans, and I’ve always liked the kachina logo.

Having said that, if they can’t find a way to keep the team there, I guess it’s a little less to worry about Matthews leaving to save that team as a UFA.

Instead of Matthews going to the Coyotes, bring the Coyotes to Matthews.

    Collingwood Coyotes

Thank you snowbirds! Auston stays in Toronto at all costs!

I’m not even that fucking mad over this. I used to really like the Coyotes but their fans became so insufferable quickly.

I remember reading on their sub that they would be contenders in 5 years thanks to their tank job when a new fan was asking about the team.

And the random vitriol hatred of the Leafs for no reason was so tiring. Like lil bros, we never think about you, why are you celebrating us getting eliminated in the playoffs when we don’t even play in the same conference?

Ultimately, I feel most bad for fans like Matthews who grew up watching the team, and couldn’t imagine going through a similar thing with the Leafs. I’m sad for them, but unfortunately it’s been a long time coming.

Feel bad for the fans but if this is truly the end of this franchise this time it is long overdue.

And to think of all the people who tried to tell me that just wasn’t true in the last 7 years.

Matty, I’m so sorry for your loss bud. It hurts to see a piece of your childhood die.

They will relocate to brampton and matthews will sign with them

What a mess. Can’t say I’m surprised to see this happen. I imagine this will result in some massive lawsuits costing the taxpayers millions of dollars.

Finally, no more annual 2 games where Leafs gets fucked over by refs while playing Bettman’s favorite team.

Toronto Maple Leaves so fans can afford a Toronto game

The reality is there is only so much growth you can get from non-traditional hockey market. Even in the Sharks sell out years I remembered going to sports bar 10 or 15 miles outside of San Jose they wouldn’t even have one TV showing hockey. These cities have a very loyal die hard core fans but it is very difficult to grow beyond that.

Logical choices will be adding one team in GTA or bring the yotes back to Quebec, but neither will happen for obvious reasons. Bettman might be running out of cities like Seattle or Vegas.

Houston, we have … a new hockey team.

Thank you to the people of Tempe for putting us out of our misery when it comes to our horrendous home record against the Coyotes. Can’t lose home games against a team that won’t exist anymore!

But seriously, if any Yotes fans are here for some reason this really fucking sucks. Sorry that this happened. It would suck to lose your team because voters would rather have a literal landfill then let the private sector pay to clean and develop it.
