  1. Head coach and Rob Blake both try to relive the past. It's understandable the relationship they relate to. I would like to see more progressive forward thinking. I like the forwards with the exception of where Fiala played. Fiala should be on the second line, but the coach tries to recreate the past with Danault, Arvidson, and Moore line. Clearly Fiala should replace Moore on that line. Just an example of thinking progressive trump's trying to recreate the past. Finally, the LA Kings put Vilardi in situations that maximizes his skill set especially the PP1 unit. A lot of Vilardi's goals on 5v5 were around the net. Credit to coaches and Vilardi for that. On D maybe sign someone like Dumba. Dumba brings tenacity on D. The Kings can use some tenacity and attitude while staying out of the penalty box. Getting other teams forwards out of their groove is enough.

  2. Seriously need to rethink about our player development and utilization. How many times have we seen zero to hero stories like Sprong, Tolvanen, or Dalpe? How about those shining youngsters, e.g. Kartye and Johnston, being heroes out of the gate/blue?

  3. It's been said that most NHL coaches, who are great teachers, never reach the Cup finals, let alone win one. Most coaches that win the Cup are those who get the most out of their players. Take it all with a grain of salt…

  4. Kings definitely moving in the right direction I’m confident Blake will do the best they can with the limited space. I trust this leadership to put a solid team together lots things to be excited for going into next season. Really looking forward to seeing player growth

  5. Thanks Eddie for an especially good Kings video today! Agree Blake is unlikely to make a huge trade because he probably believes tweaks can do the job of getting them deeper in playoffs. Personally, I would like to see them make a big trade to get an elite goalie such as Saros or Sorokin, but unlikely. As far as a head coach taking the Kings to where they want to go, I agree no extension for Tmac unless playoffs see the Kings go deep. Btw for me the Kings need to go only one place; to win the Stanley Cup.

  6. Hi Eddie, I think you need to stop calling people that watch your show "every dayers" like it is something derogatory.

  7. Honestly I don't see how the Kings could turn into a Cup contender next season. You see Kopitar is 1C and the captain but we have yet to win a series as such and Anze will be another year older. It seems unlikely expecting him to be our best player and shoulder this team through the playoffs. Somebody has to step up and put this team over the top or it's going to be another year of limited success. Either that or the Kings need to be tremendous defensively and I just don't see that happening with our current D corp. Blake has not shown the ability to find effective role players to flesh out the team and the lack of depth has shown when we face stiffer competition.
