  1. Kansas City is the best option with the T-Mobile Center that can sit about 18,000 fans. They also have a passionate sports fan base and it works out perfect for they are in the central time zone.

  2. Not they're not. Auston Matthews is gong home to Arizona, so they have to stay in Arizona. It's simple logic.

  3. Hamilton is building a massive new arena and development in the downtown core.

I know the cowardly owners of the Toronto maple leafs would block it but just saying.

  4. I dont thin they would ever go to Canada, or Atlanta. So Houston and Kansas City are really the only places that would be good.

  5. Quebec City deserves the next team, but they finally have the conference’s balanced so I’d put my money on them going to Huston.

  6. Paying future tax money for peoples ENTERTAINMENT is Conservunist socialism! These tax moochers left the City of Glendale in massive debt. Goodbye Coyotes. Mooch elsewhere!

  7. A move to the east is not going to happen. Houston is the most likely spot for relocation but I personally would rather see them go to Salt Lake City or better yet, Madison, Wisconsin. Madison has an NHL caliber arena and would have an instant fan base because of the Badgers. There would also be an immediate rivalry with Minnesota, Chicago, St Louis and to a lesser extent Detroit and Winnipeg.

  8. So what if they do an expansion deal with an owner who will ice a team in Houston while also sell the Yotes to an owner in Quebec City? Conferences are balanced and they get another expansion fee. Crazy plan to somehow get the Nordiques back lol.

  9. That little creep Bettman doesn't want to admit he was wrong putting a team in Arizona, and there is a brand new arena waiting for a team in Quebec. This franchise should relocate to Canada, where there are fans waiting to support the club who know about hockey!

  10. I've always had a soft spot for Coyotes. They were my 1st team when I just got into hockey because of Looney Tunes. The only hope for the Coyotes is that Matthews plays for them in 2024

  11. There is also other ways than moving a stadium to create fan engagement. In Europe there are Stadiums that are bigger than the population of the city they are at…

  12. I want Quebec to get a franchise again now that the a-holes of old no longer have influence there and the Nordiques MIGHT actually have a chance again.
However, canadian tax bullcrap is a SEVERE detriment and the government has stated they won't be supporting another franchise again.
Meaning the govt will get involved ONLY if it looks profitable to them again.

The maritimes could hold an NHL team however i feel the fanbase would not be able to commit to capacities on a consistent basis.
I'm in Halifax too and i can almost guarantee nowhere her could support an NHL franchise. We're barely managing a QMJHL team still. ( regardless of how good they are on the ice, keeping them here is a REAL struggle now)

Knowing Bettman, Canada locations are simply never going to be considered as he has made it clear he has a grudge against Canada for whatever reason.
He does not like sharing money , especially when its taxes. And Canada's taxes are ridiculously high.
I don't blame some NHL'ers for NOT wanting to play in Canada simply because Canada has incredibly high tax rates.

So I suspect we're gonna see a Mid western location.. Somewhere between Texas and California and Oregon,
OR a 3rd Florida location since TB and the Panthers have kind of been in the top 5 for almost a decade now. , The ' heat' is on. there.

  13. Transfer them to Come By Chance in Newfoundland, they would support an NHL franchise better than Arizona could!

  14. Quebec has a new beautiful rink there. Halifax is a huge hockey town….. So many quality Canadian locations, the desert is not the place to grow hockey.
