Im confident Houston can develop hockey talent if the youth hockey programs get developed down there. Houston texas has produced more current NBA and NFL players than any other city in the world. Alot of top athletes come from Houston
I think the fact they have been in trouble for so long means a move will be good. I'm all for growing the game but the Coyotes have been there since 1996. One superstar, who is now a bit divisive in his fan base, in 27-28 years just doesn't justify keeping them there anymore
Atlanta has a huge metro area that has always supported the Gladiators. People said “hockey will never work in the South.” But with some SUCCESS AND GOOD OWNERSHIP. You have Tampa becoming a dynasty, Nashville being passionate, Carolina and Florida are playing in the eastern conference finals. Hockey will work in Atlanta!
If the Coyotes and the NHL really want to keep their reach in Arizona, their best bet is to keep the Coyotes branding and move the team the team to Salt Lake. Utah is one of Arizona's neighbors and coyotes are also common in Utah as well, so the Coyotes fanbase in Salt Lake would bleed over into Arizona, much like how Dakota sports fans cheer for Minnesota.

Why can’t we get another Canadian team ?
The main product (Yotes) was already very poor from the core. I feel the NHL and the owners current and former were shoving that down the fans' throats. So many mistakes and chances were given. This time they trapped themselves. There's nobody to blame except the NHL.
The Yotes haven't worked in PNX and Tempe. The team is losing so much $$$, and it's time to move the team.

i think having an nhl team in arizona should have carried the day on its own. regardless of how much was spent promoting the arena. arizona is the 4th largest TV market in the US and they have spoken. betteman will probably give atlanta a 3rd kick at the can as his primary focus is the US television market.
