If it does indeed come time for the Coyotes to move, I would argue Houston, TX or any big Canadian metro market will tie for the most suitable spot for the Coyotes to reside. If the Yotes move to Texas, then that would initiate one of the most interesting intra-state / intra-provincial rivalries the league has ever seen IMHO.

Phoenix is the 5th largest city in America by population. Tempe is 12 miles from Phoenix. They couldn't make it work there. This long, drawn out experiment is just not going to work. It's sad but true, no matter the grandeur of the proposed development, bums will not be in seats. Remember, a 2 billion dollar development has to be paid for by someone and that will be by the fans…who don't exist.

Salt Lake City doesn't have an Arena meant for Hockey. It would have 14k seats for Hockey only. That's smaller than Winnipeg's Arena which is around 15k+, My Money is on Houston they got 17,800 Seats for Hockey. Its built for Hockey and Basketball.
Lost my hometown whaler's the OHL one growing up going to game's losing a team is tough but the NHL has to do it fairly quickly. Do you think they play one more season in Arizona?
the current population of Salt Lake City is just over 200,000 people. That's too small of a market….

Maybe another Canadian team for the central, there is only one Canadian team in the central (Winnipeg Jets) and that's all they have, having another one, will be huge for Canada
It’s not over but it’s super disappointing, I get to go to a tone of Yotes games. SLC makes sense because I think they could play in the Jazz arena. Tage Thompson, Austin Matthews, Matt Knies it’s so disappointing this is a huge miss for the people of AZ.
