The scenario that I like the best is to trade down and pick up a player and draft D. Lively if possible.

Mavericks should look to draft at 10 Rayan Rupert, Bilal Coulibaly, Jordan Walsh, or Nikola Durisic. If they trade back they should look to draft Hunter Dickinson, Zvonimir Ivisic, or Malcolm Cazalon. They would all be excellent fits for the Mavericks and Luka.

How are they in win-now mode if they couldn't win last year? Lol. Draft a young player. You can get a starter with young legs at 10. Then you can pick up another starter in free agency. When you trade for big names, the players never get better. Big names past their prime are not helpful. The best way to get talent with upside is through the draft. The Mavs ignore the draft WAY too much.
