Honestly why didn’t they do this 2 years ago? I love this

I feel like they’re just doing this to fuck with all the Canadians begging us to move lol. They have to know like 80% of the comments are gonna be Houston and Quebec City

We only had one option two days ago and now we got four. Things are looking up.

Is Glendale an option when the lease at Mullet expires until the new arena is built? This could take around six years to built an arena. Or even more. i don’t know. Or back to Glendale permanent.

God I hate the east side. For us on the west side it creates the same problems that everyone on the Eastside had when they played in Glendale. They need to have something centrally located. It is easy for everyone to get to! I say Tear down some abandoned shit in downtown or go north of the city.

There’s already been more votes in the twitter poll than people that voted in the Tempe election lol

The coyotes ARE Arizona hockey. They aren’t going anywhere. They aren’t going to Quebec city or Hamilton and won’t become the nordiques.
European_Red_Fox
for anyone that doesn’t have twitter the poll is overwhelmingly Scottsdale.

What I’m confused on is if the issue with Gila River Arena (which isn’t that old) stems to previous ownership, why doesn’t the newer ownership activity try to remedy that problem?
I’m probably incorrect on that scenario, I’m a newer fan and I’m not exactly 100% in the loop

I’m sorry, I’m optimistic, but some random social media admin posting a poll does not excite me…. Im sure they’d like the coyotes to stay as well.

I’d like to see Halifax tbh. The turnout at the world juniors was amazing, and it’d give eastern Canada a team

Scottsdale is honestly the best place for them to go. Gilbert is just such an odd place, theres hella room in queen creek but that would be awful.

We have to expect that there is going to be a big push to win back fans that gave up when the no vote came out. They announced that they are staying another season (and hopefully longer). They will need to fill the seats and sell merchandise and everything that goes with it, now more than ever. Disengaged and divested fans will need to come back to keep revenue going.
So with that said, we might need to take their comments with some skepticism. I’m a huge fan and STM and hope to God that they stay. But, I’m not trusting their words much because they have no choice but to say those things. If they were to admit, for example, things are bleak, we are staying this season but moving to Salt Lake next season, it would kill them financially this season. People won’t buy gear or tickets for a team that they know is leaving. Are things bleak or do they really have viable options? I have no idea but they will really need our support this season. I’m just preparing myself for heartbreak just in case.

They should work something out with the SRP-MIC reservation. There’s plenty of land between Talking Stick and Casino Arizona right off of the 101. Easy access for fans from Scottsdale and the East Valley. Plus, the tribe wouldn’t take it to a vote if the dollars look good for them.

Was Sarver really the one that didn’t want to expand the Suns arena during renovations and allow the Coyotes to share?

To everyone saying move them to Quebec or Hamilton, please tell me which established eastern conference team would want to move to the western conference to allow that to happen
ExiledPariah7
There should be an option for Quebec there. Atlanta did it, why not?
