Every fan base has it's share of morons. I'd say, percentage-wise, it's probably pretty close from sports franchise to sports franchise. Thing is, when you're The Toronto Maple Leafs, The New York Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys, then your fan base is probably 10-20 times larger than most teams in your league… and thus, you have 10-20 times more idiots following those teams. Dubas has had people threaten him with violence in front of his wife and children. He has about 100 idiots tweeting the most horrible sh!t at him every day… Leafs fans need to hold the idiots amongst them more accountable or they'll lose one of the best GMs in the league.

He's been here for a quite a while now, inherited some of the better players in the league, signed some bad contracts, given away a ton of first round picks, has had minimal playoff success. Why is he still even a gm for the toronto maple leafs?

Bringing up his family is either a sign he isn’t up to the job, or it is to manipulate public sympathy.
He brought this on himself by making bonehead signings. Everyone knows your big 4 must include a stud defenseman and an elite goalie.
Kyle deserves to still be the general manager of the leafs he has done an amazing job since he took the helm
I don't know Dubas' personal life but when he says that this season was very "taxing" to him and his family, it makes me believe that he lost his temper on several occasions at home and it made his wife crazy. It's probably better if he leaves if he wants to save his family from a breakup. He, himself says that he is a very emotional guy and that won't change. And, the pressure of his job won't change either.
So basically hiring Dubas was a huge mistake
