    Connor McDavid- The Next great One. The next Gretzky, the next Lemieux, the next Crosby. Ya right. LMAO! You can score 100+ points a game. That doesn't make you Great! What makes a player great is how he makes OTHER team members BETTER! Like those 3 players did! McDaisy reminds me of Ovechkin. Score a lot but only won won Cup. McDavid may never win a Cup. Another year with NO Canadian teams winning! Hahahah!

    The above stats show a lot. Oilers peppered Hill and he held pretty firm. They more than doubled the hits, the faceoffs were the same, only one PP for the Oilers (killed) and 2 for Vegas (also killed). Oilers had nearly double the number of giveaways, same number of takeaways and exactly half the blocked shots. Not nearly enough blocks.

    Sixth Game. Do or Die for the Oilers. They died. Goaltending through the middle 20 of the game was bad with Stu letting in 3 (all by Marchessault so he got a hattie). Campbell came in on relief for the final 20 and, while he only faced 4 shots, he took care of all of them. The Oilers weren't blocking nearly enough shots allowing for the more advanced stats. Ignorning that Hill had a great game backstopping the VGK. When the boys got chances he took care of them. I was unable to watch this game so just going off of stats and whatever I could see by replays.

    First, this wasn't a disaster. The Oilers made it to the 2nd round (or further) 2 years in a row. We faced great teams getting there. Time to tweak and adjust. Bouchard is legit. Skinner if okay too but you can't play him night in night out. He's not that type of goalie. He's a tandem. He had many good to great games. He had some stinkers too. It happens, maybe cutting him some slack in his first full year in the NHL might be in order.

    Oilers fans, this is the first year in the window. The window remains open. An adjustment here, a tweak here, it will be fine. Have faith. Take care all.
