We should hire him as president. Let him and Drury cook together.
Dubas said if he doesnt return to Toronto, whether its his or the orgs decision, that he will no be interviewing for opening positions this summer.
I’ve heard talk that he already has a contract signed with the Penguins.
Truly a shame on Toronto for not playing the long game.
It’s so easy to act like he didn’t do much in his time, but look at the relevence of where it all was. The franchise was a laughing stock and missing playoffs for years. Their core is young and strong. They have a deep organization that can push the window further then these guys too. Shame.

Probably has something to do with him wanting total control over personnel decisions and Shanahan didn’t want to give him that. That being said this is a tough loss for Toronto, I didn’t think they played particularly bad in the second round, Bob just got super hot at the wrong time for them. Hopefully he doesn’t go to Pittsburgh.
The fact that there’s kind of a possibility of Larry Brooks dream scenario happening is insane.
