@Oilers d'Edmonton

  1. Will Ken Holland and this version of the Edmonton Oilers ever win a Stanley Cup?

  2. Strike 1 Strike 2 Strike 3 and then there is aways next year , it is going to take more than your 2 best players to win the cup

  3. They have all of their LTI off the books, and 2.25million of dead cap coming back. They have lots of options.

  4. Ya, Nuge, Hyman and Kane didn't really get a whole lot going, not sure what the deal was with them.

    Overall I like the team as is but would just move out Yamo (like the guy and all) and bring in Holloway. He's the same type of player but bigger and, from what I saw from Yamo recently, a better shot. If Dylan gets a full year under his belt, he'll be something else come playoffs. Our rookie/sophomore D will now know what it takes. As will Skinner.

    Oh, and Woodcroft needs to rethink his strategy a bit…

    Let's see what happens over the next 4-5 months.

  5. Answer: they can't. Teams that win championships don't have a plethora of bad contracts tying them up. Connor McDavid, as good as he is, is hard to justify paying 12 million to. Not to mention having 14.5 million tied up in Nurse and Campbell's contracts.

    Too many bloated contracts and not enough valuable depth pieces on good contracts on the roster. And it doesn't look like this situation is going to change anytime soon.

    All EDM can hope for is another first round matchup against LA and for some other sucker to go out and sign Darryl Sutter, and they can hope they run into him in the second round. That's the only way I see the soilers making it to the WCF again.

    Landy will be back with the Avs next season, Kraken's 5on5 gameplay is formidable, and Calgary should bounce back with a different coach who utilizes their roster pieces correctly. It'll be tougher for the soilers next year with (arguably) a worse roster against a stronger conference.

  6. Woodcroft has to learn to use both goalies, I hope he’s not completely loyal to Skinner like Tippet was loyal to Smith. Campbell earned a game six start.

  7. #1 – Get rid of Yamamoto – do not let him near the ice… #2 – Pay the refs more than the other teams
