Conspiracy theory here: flames are not letting teams talk to Brad because they want to be able to offer that option to the leafs. In exchange they get exclusive right to talk to Dubas

Still don’t like him. He inherited one of the best farm systems in the league, had no shortage of high picks, got one of the best top 4 forwards handed to him (albeit he recruited Tavares), and he couldn’t put any success together. I can’t help but think a lot of the appeal around him is that he looks like a analytics geek therefore people think he’s good. His track record is meh at best. Would prefer an internal hire.
And don’t let the leafs get Treliving unless they pay us.

Let’s not swap GMs. There’s another Leafs-Flames exchange that would leave us looking like clowns.

Let me say what needs to be said. Hard NO! On Dubas!

If I’m Craig Conroy, and the Flames bring in Dubas, I’m walkin’ out the door
