    Bear should get 1.8 million

  2. HarveySpecter1970

A little too much for both imo. Bear doesn’t deserve 2 mil, as he’s a 3rd pairing D man on a playoff team. Hoglander doesn’t deserve 1.3 mil until he’s a mainstay nhler, 900K is more reasonable

  3. mephnick

According to the chart posted earlier Bear should be making 3rd pair money

  4. shivd10

I’d want an extra year on both at that price

  5. Level-Interest5130

Bear’s salary is inflated because the Oilers were absolute idiots and gave him over his value, while he was an RFA and had no negotiating power

  6. BrodyCanuck

Neither are worth that. Hoglander couldn’t stay in the lineup, and Bear was a 3rd pairing defenseman on a team with one of the weakest defense in the league.

I had $2.5M for Bear so that number seems reasonable, I can’t see Höglander getting more than his QO given he spent most of the year in the AHL.

  8. Hinkil

Hoglander QO and bear not more than 2. I like hog but he’s gotta be careful not to be past over on the depth chart and depending on other moves. We need players punching above their salary.

Hogs is getting a 1 year 1 way league min show me deal, don’t see how he gets anything more or why he would take any more term

  10. Young2k04

Hogs won’t get a raise after being in the AHL all year.

  11. canucklehead200

Trade Hog to help unload another problem contract

  12. TheFriendlyBagel

Disappointing that 1.3 million AAV for Hoglander is a bit of an overpay. We really need more from our prospects with how badly our cap is tied up and they’re NOT panning out.

  13. No-Purchase9832

Bear shouldn’t be more than 2, hog is good there.

  14. Strict-Caterpillar38

Is Poolman a factor in this, or is it pretty certain he won’t be playing? I assume we wouldn’t want two 3rd-pairing-ish RHD on the roster making $2.5M+.

  15. SMA2343

    Bear 1.75 x 2 and Hoggy a cool 1 x 2

  16. YouCanFucough

I guess Hoglander is probably worth 1.3M if he plays closer to his rookie season form, but how do you ask for that money when you got passed on the depth chart by like 6 guys making league minimum

Bear at 2.6 I think is good value for what he is
