Dallas lost game 1 against both Minnesota and Seattle in OT, so this seems consistent. But Vegas is better than both and Dallas needed 6 and 7 to beat those other teams, so that isn’t necessarily great news for Dallas.
Still though, I think Dallas has every right to think they can still win this series.

well both series are starting out….will there be any players able to play in the finals or will they be exhausted….and injuries seem to happen in these long games.. hope not

I was like 'Come on not again, i want to go to sleep' when Stars tied in the 3rd, i knew it was going to go to OT. Dallas took a while to get going but looked good once they did. I really dont see them beating Vegas in the series but i hope they do. That goal song is just 🔥

Oettinger really screwed up on that OT goal. He spun around for no reason when all he had to do was step back in the crease. Panicked
Defence is gonna be the biggest discrepancy in this matchup. I think VGK is going to take it for that reason
The coaching matchup is why Vegas will win this series. Game 2 is a must-win game for the Stars. If down 0-2, I doubt Deboer makes the adjustments needed to win the series.

Stars lost against the Wild and Kraken in game 1 in overtime as well. I've seen this one before.
Vegas hustled for the win, aside from dallas being on their heels the seemed to have alot high quality of play. Vegas scored all 3 of their regulation goals in a really sloppy way. Odd bounces and errors. Thats not a reliable way to win a game for an entire series. I dont think game 1 will be a representation of the series.
