  1. You’re talking 4 largest populations in the US. You’re not including Canada. Toronto is big 4.5 million. It needs two teams

  2. LETS GO BABY HOUSTON!!!! Wish Mr Hockey would have still been alive to see it he loved it here.

  3. I think Toronto would be a great location for a second NHL franchise, imagine competing VS the Leafs ,You want a bigger revenue, its a no-brainer, if they could only sort this location bullcrap so they can move in Scotia Bank temporarily , until they build somthing in New Market or Hamilton.

  4. This is hilarious. Someone told the NHL to go "f" themselves and pay for their own arena.
Now people in Calgary should do the same.

  5. Houston is getting plans proposed to a new arena that would suit both the rockets and potential Houston nhl team

  6. You are so wrong about the arena being to cause of the Thrashers demise. We had a dysfunctional Ownership group who owned the Hawks and the Thrashers who could not get along and cared more about the Hawks and had no interest in whether the Thrashers survived or not.

  7. I think it'll be either Houston or Salt Lake City, with Houston as the favorite. Next to no chance for any other city.

  8. How about how about Phoenix scorpions with the hockey stick as his tail and a muscular scorpion just a pipe dream

  9. Huston would make more money and has an NHL ready arena? Quebec city runs circles around it.

  10. I think what helped the Stars grow so well as a team in Dallas was their roster. When they relocated they had a pretty darn good team. And even only got better after that.
If the Yotes move to Houston. Fans aren’t going to trip over each other racing to the door. The team is still not good roster wise. They need to move somewhere that will love the team no matter what. Like the Thrashers to Winnipeg. They need to go to Quebeque.

  11. rockets owner will be not nice to anybody renting. That’s what I worry about in Houston Rockets owners on the Toyota center and are not Nice unless they get something from it.

  12. Philips Arena was built for the Hawks and Thrashers equally. It is an NHL arena

  13. Last I heard, Quebec City has been wanting their team back for the past 28 years.

    But…

Heaven forbid you put hockey where hockey sells!

  14. Yea, it would be a great rivalry with the Dallas North Stars from Minnesota.
Miss the "N" with the little star – much better looking than the stupid Dallas logo. As the Atlanta Flames was too. 🙁

  15. Quebec City or even Hamilton but with this dipsh*t in charge you'll see them in Iwo Jima or the Cook Islands first.

  16. Garry Bettman needs the walking papers.
The NHL would be better off without him.

  17. I also think Houston is the best option to relocate the Yotes. Luv that Houston Aeros logo at the beginning of the video. The green one. Hopefully thats what they will be called.

  18. Bad joke but i"ll tell it anyways… moove Yotes to Hamilton…….BUT! then Toronto wd want an NHL team too…

  19. Josh, you're forgetting the owner of the Utah Jazz has been talking to Bettman for a couple of years about an NHL expansion franchise, and now that the Coyoytes got no voted, this is the biggest news. Yes Houston has the Toyota center, but the Rockets owner is a tyrant, and that's why the AHL Aeros moved. That is a MAJOR roadblock. The Rockets run the Toyota center, do financially an NHL team would be 2nd fiddle on revenues, dates, etc.
Whereas, SLC, the team can play in the Vivint ( now Delta center) until a new NHL only arena is built. They spread have the land for that, and even a potential MLB team. The fans want the Coyotes here, want the name to remain in place, and logistically it all works.
Houston will probably get the next NHL expansion franchise, but I have to say, based on what's transporting behind the scenes, Salt Lake City is # 1. They already have an owner willing to go, which Houston does not right now.
With time being of the essence, for a move for the 24-25 season, SLC is the closest to relocating the ' Yotes.

  20. PHX has been a tire fire for the NHL since they moved from Winnipeg in 996. This is Bettmam's baby and he will fight tooth and nail to keep the team there, even of the league has to run the team again.

  21. Bring back the Nordiques. Way bigger hockey market than Phoenix. What are you thinking Bettman?

  22. Houston would make 100% sense now but there is one city that never gets mentioned..Green Bay. I think it would be a huge draw and have nearby rivals, like Chi, Det, Minn, Winnipeg, Edm, Sea, Calgary ..thats enuf right?

  23. I work in a bar in Montreal and I hear so many french people say they dont give a fuck about hockey since the nordiques have been gone. French people dont feel represented by montreal canadiens despite everything they do

  24. I have a question for everyone screaming bring back Nordiques. What makes you think they would go there when they can go someplace else to attract more money while at the same time people still buy Nordiques merchandise as if they are still a NHL team?

From a fan perspective I get it. But from the business perspective it makes no sense.
