@Flames de Calgary

    Question is who will Jarome be advising/assisting? Front office or the head coach.

    Someone tell me how to feel

    Not shocked about Nonis, he is a Burke protégé like Treliving and to a lesser extent Connie. So it makes sense that Nonis would have similar ideas as our current management group.

    I figured they might have an advisory role for GMCC, but was kind of hoping it’d be Maloney given how well he handled this transition. Regardless hopefully this helps Conroy the same way Burke helped Tree

    Should we get Kipper as a goalie coach as well?

    I’m kind of meh on Nonis one way or the other, although he most likely does have the skillset.

    I can’t recall being this excited about this team since hearing the news of Iggy and Conroy back together. I’m sure they’ll have a lot to learn on the job, but that’s were Nonis, Maloney and others of that type come into the mix.

    Iginla and Conroy back together again. How sweet it is.

    Not a fan of Nonis though. On the surface, it feels like he’s ownerships backup plan if things go off the rails with Conroy. Basically a somewhat similar scenario as to when they brought Feaster in near the end of Sutter’s tenure as GM. Hopefully it never comes to that.

    Lots of people are shitting on Nonis but I really don’t see why it’s a bad hiring. He’s worked for some not so great teams but he seems to keep jobs for a very long time so that has to mean something right?

    What is this hopeful feeling I am experiencing? If we get Mitch as well, I won’t know how to deal with such an ebullient mood.
