He made the big leagues and now he’s not gonna go back down without a fight. RHP is a beast and I cannot wait to see him score another hat trick at the Bell Center

i too am convinced he is capable, and im sure he will prove it for years to come!

reverse retro rockstar! he should be wearing powder blue undershirts at all times hahah

I see him as a future third liner, but it’s fun to imagine him staying consistent or even getting better (not out of the question for a 24 y/o). A 48-point pace in your first 34 games is second liner potential to me.

That kid’s hungry and he’s gotta eat. The Habs need someone like him

He makes it sound like something related to stamina.

Playing the style he plays, it’d be logical if he doesn’t want to just stick in the NHL but get good 5v5 minutes + special teams.

He has improved his skating a lot since his junior days. Dunno how much more he can improve that.

He is already around 185 for 5’9, so bulking up is near the point of diminishing return.

So endurance is the one obvious athletic aspect he might be referring to.

Legit question: he played a fair bit with Suzuki on the top line while every other Habs player was injured, but he produced. He produced well. Why not keep it going? If the chemistry is there, let him stay there. Other « better » players can fill up the 2nd and 3rd lines providing more balanced attack. As long as their time on ice is similar, it can also help with fatigue. For example, put out Suzuki’s line much in the 1st, Dach’s line more in the 2nd, Suzuki won’t be as drained for a final push in the 3rd.
