  1. How are they going to trade Matthews before July 1? It would have to be to a team he'd want to play for, otherwise he would just not resign with that team after a year and that team would not give anything for Matthews for only 1 year.

  2. How to know someone is going to get traded…
Someone tells he is not going to get traded.

  3. The Leafs situation is boring already. Talk about something else. It's all been discussed to exhaustion. The team is average. The core four is a bunch of soft over paid underachieving players. The president has no plan and no balls. Next story please!

  4. I can’t remember the last time Craig button was right lol😅

  5. Dubas simps in the media trying so hard to turn the narrative against Shanahan haha. Button clearly isnt one of those clowns.

  6. Look at what Florida is doing right now. They are making the Leafs look like a joke. There’s no way anything changes without shaking up the roster and the diva mentality in Toronto.

  7. Just imagine that havoc that would be created by a Brad Treliving GM.✔️

  8. Good take… there's no possible way that Shanahan would guarantee the core 4 that they won't be traded. And, like they just stated, if that was the case, any potential new GM would realize his hands are tied even before starting the job. Whoever the new GM is, they must have authority to move anyone, as long as they believe it makes the team better.

  9. The dysfunction continues, this core will never win anything come playoffs time. O'Reilly should be kept but because of these 4 figure skaters we can't afford to sign him so we're left with the square 1 scenario. If these creampuffs can't take care of themselves, bring someone in who will. In the last round we played in, Gudas and Bennett ran roughshod over anyone they felt like running roughshod over, no reaction from yours truly, it was embarrassing and a total lack of fight on this team for their teammates, Schenn can fight but it's not his role to make the law. Marner is a fancy dandy who produces great results in the regular season but he folds like a deck of cards when it counts. If you can't afford tough talent for this team at the very least get some cheap tough as nails guys who will make idiots like Gudas think twice about molesting our wallflowers.

  10. Shanahan is trying to appease the Toronto fans by claiming the core 4 are not going to be traded. Not a smart statement to make just before you hire a new GM, but hey, he's the guy who signed Mike Babcock to a $50 million contract.

  11. Shanahan is a smart guy!!!! From Button!!!😳😳😳 yeah ok an who was the 1 that gave that IDIOT Babcock that huge 6million contract???? Sheriff shanny!!!! I think alot of times Button is talking silly stuff!!!😂😂😂

  12. If I were a GM that made his best offer, and the player says "I want to stay but I won't sign yet", I would line up trade options. When time gets tight, I would let that player know it's either sign or be traded. No way I get Tavaresed. John didn't want to be in some unknown city for 5 months before he signed with the Leafs, so he strung snow along and lied to the media a couple dozen times about wanting to stay. Then he signed with the Leafs for LESS than the Isles offered, and the Isles got screwed out of a couple of 1st round picks and more from a contender.

  13. i agree but totally backstabbed fellow tsn insider chris johnson. chris is losing it

  14. How can this group of players possibly believe that they should be kept together with no changes? 5 years of embarrassing playoff hockey. Enough.

  15. If Shanny really said that, then he needs to go also. Allowing Matty and Mitchy to continue to run this team, hasn’t worked and both need to go.

  16. The Flames president agreed to not trade Johnny Gaudreau at the trade deadline because he felt with Johnny Hockey in the lineup, they had a better chance of succeeding in the playoffs. Because Johnny left the club with no player(s) coming back in return, that wasn’t on Brad Treliving.
