Puck carrier changes position right as he’s coming in for the hit….

Mo could have killed that dude, but instead let up on him. Doesn’t even look like a penalty to me, but I don’t know shit.

Another example imo of the IIHF caring more about protecting players than the DOPS. Happy with the call, would love to see more players get tossed for this type hit so I don’t have to keep worrying about the next player who tries to break Larkin’s spine a la Mathieu Josef

Apparently the entire Red Wings roster just decided to use Worlds as an outlet for frustrations with the rebuild

“Obviously didn’t want to take a 5-minute penalty, but when the game happens fast, emotions are high. Obviously I would’ve liked to not ~~fall on him~~ check him from behind and I guess use ~~my stick~~ his body as the landing point » – Moritz Seider probably

Love the tweet reply to this that says Mo plays with no bite and no fight in the NHL

Must be watching a different player, cuz that’s a brain dead take

Definitely a penalty, but guy sure put himself in a vulnerable position

Damn it Mo! Maybe Mazur and Kuby can try and murder each other and complete the prophecy. Sorry I’m forgetting about Määttä…this is just ridiculous

I mean boarding maybe but doesn’t seem that bad… how much longer is the tournament?

As a German ofc a big loss but so far it works for us too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

But indeed unlucky, there wasn‘t any bad intention from Seider.

Weak! This happens every night in the NHL.

Man I’ve been dying for the Wings to show some edge but in the NHL not this tournament!

This is like if I went back to middle school and started fighting people. Mo needs to pull his punches lol

This is why we need the World Cup back. NHL rules really are better.

It looks like Mo tries to change as the puck carrier changes position by going into an upward motion and trying to stand him up a bit. I think this could have much worse with Mo hitting in a downward trajectory.

    I want that Germany jersey!!!

Looks like a case of Seider just being a little bit to strong, he should know that he cant use that much power tho.

Ejection seems a bit much. Definitely a penalty. Maybe I need to see it in full speed.

  19. Shotokanguy

I feel like he was a pretty safe distance from the boards when Seider came in. He just pushed him pretty far with the hit, probably not on purpose. And honestly, it wasn’t a super violent collision with the boards. I would hope he’s not suspended for this.

Pretty weak ngl. Just call an elbow or boarding and move along.

  21. Biscuit_In_Basket

Mo definitely should’ve pulled up before driving through that hit. But I’d really like to see it full speed, Swiss dude cuts back pretty late and puts himself in a vulnerable position.
