  1. He's a TRUE Golden Misfit. Embodies the Vegas identity. So happy to see how Eichel has played out in Vegas. He just needs a dedicated line. He needs the Robin to his Batman. And it seems like Marchessault is becoming that. Hearing they're sit next to each other on the plane excites me that in this long term contract we might see Eichel at the best point in his career

  2. I’ve been telling people how elite jack eichel was as a aabres fan forever no one has having it

  3. This is why I stopped watch the NHL playoffs. No competitive balance. 2 sweeps leading into the stanley cup finals? My favorite is having the lower seed team blow out the higher seed team in the first game, and then being swept 4 games straight. BULLSHIT! Not very exciting as a casual fan.

  4. I’m so happy for Jack, I’ve always believed in him :,)

  5. I'm really conflicted : my favorite team left is Florida, so I really want them to win; but I would also love to see Eichel win a cup before McDavid, that would be hilarious

  6. I am conflicted about whom I would like to win the cup. I would like to see Reinhardt win it, but I would love to see Jack raise it as well. It's definitely going to be a classic final.

  7. Honestly I don't get why some people saying Florida vs Vegas would be a terrible Stanley Cup Finals. Sure it's a top seed vs a wildcard but both teams have drastically improved to where they ended last season (missed playoffs for Vegas and President's Cup winner swept by Tampa Bay for Florida) both teams have great offenses where everyone is getting some and great defense with a goalie on an absolute tear when everyone else had written them off. Not to mention both teams are playing for their 1st Stanley Cup. What could be more exciting than that?

  8. There's a bit over 200 people in the NHL draft every year, 2nd is still great imo.

  9. His 200 ft EN goal after stripping the puck from McDavid was the highlight of the series for me.

  10. Eichel always had a kind of Eddie Haskell vibe to him. He even looks like Eddie Haskell, which may be why people don't like him. But it was ridiculous to put all the blame for Buffalo's problems on him.

It reminds me, since I'm a Bengals fan in football, of a player named Corey Dillon. Dillon was a great player on a lousy team, and used to get the blame, like the "experts" would say, "Sure he puts up great numbers, but he's a loser and only cares about his personal stats." I'd watch the games and say, "this guy is a great player and busts his butt, and is the last guy who should get blamed for the team stinking because he's their only good player". What happens? He gets traded to New England, is a horse for them, wins a Super Bowl and all the experts are saying, "This guy's a real gamer. A real winner." Which is why you don't listen to experts whose expertise is usually just repeating clichés, easy & thoughtless conclusions, and superficial observations they've heard from other "experts".

  11. I didn't predict Eichel being a "beast" in the playoffs but I do think that Vegas management acquired hi so as to add a bonified star to an already solid and deep roster that didn't have one.
Brady Tkachuk's brother is doing the same in for Florida.
Just a side note: when it comes to being a star in the NHL, a player's nationality doesn't matter. A star is a star whether Canadian, Russian, American…it is the individual. I suspect (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that hockey development and training up the ranks is similar worldwide. However, am I the only one to notice that teams with higher Canadian content have a high Stanley Cup rate? Washington had fewer Canadian players when they best Vegas in 2018 but that's because they were better. But even then, there was production from the likes of Jay Beagle and other 4th liners. St. Louis won in 2019 against a Bruins team stacked with Americans. Going back to 2007, Anaheim with more Canadian players beat Ottawa in the finals. In 2011, oddly enough Boston had more Canadians and more players from British Columbia; I guess that year these B.C. went home to claim Stanley Cup.
As I write this comment, the Carolina Hurricanes have 4 Canadians and the Dallas Stars have 7. The Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights 13 and 16 respectively and are up 3-0 in their series.
So as I said, a player's nationality insofar as being elite isn't so significant (just look at Eichel and Tkachuk) but look at the "ordinary" players…a coincidence? a fluke? Or am I suffering Don Cherry Syndrome or simply out to lunch?

  12. I don’t where this “talk” was, but we here in Buffalo knew he was great. He was more of a playmaker and a little less of a goal scorer than maybe what we had hoped, but he was always great from day 1. The Sabres at that time had 4 good players and three of them were centers and he put up numbers anyway while being a strong two way player. O’Reilly already proved how bad those teams really were and now Eichel and Reinhart are doing the same thing. The team had to trade those guys for multiple assets because literally no other prospects from that period ever became even decent NHL’ers.

  13. if you don’t think mark stone is the best player on vegas then you don’t understand the beautiful game

  14. Probably Bobrovsky. Eichel is a major talent. I never believed all of the negative stuff about him because the way that Buffalo management was really fkking him around about the surgery and when Vegas made the trade for him I thought that they really pulled off a big one.

  15. I was very wrong about eichel, like you said i was worried he would be a selfish player, but he has proved me so wrong. Good defense. Good team play and reads. And a good teammate. I admit i was wrong and im happy hes here to do what he does

  16. I'm ready for the Eichel v. Tkachuk Stanley Cup Final. Both these teams feel like Teams of Destiny (TM) right now. I know I should be against Vegas but honestly, given that they're the next newest expansion team I almost…feel a sort of kinship with them? Probably helps we didn't meet in the playoffs this year, heh.

  17. Panthers will drag Vegas down to our level 1-2 goals a game and win in overtime. Heart attack city but, “This is the way” .

  18. I mean I’m not surprised with his 9 points against Edmonton. You could tell there is a fire in him when he faces the sabres. So why wouldn’t he have a fire within him against a guy on the biggest stage who’s shadow he’s been in since he’s got to the show. If anything I feel Jack had the same pride in him, knocking Connor out of the playoffs.

  19. Imagine Buffalo trading away to future conn Smythe winners (within 2 years of the trade) in the same decade

  20. Got to be honest, I was incredibly upset to see them trade Tuch for Eichel. I really felt buffalo was making out like a bandit but dang was I ever wrong.

  21. 0-25 seconds, it's an obvious pass… The click shillers make the most pedestrian actions things of god made…

  22. Tkachuk with a Stanley Cup has the potential to be the greatest NHL player of all time.

  23. can you stop "pausing" the video in uninteresting shots, and talking over them?
Show gameplay or SOMETHING. Boring videos.

  24. As a buffalo fan I will still say it: HE WAS THE PROBLEM HERE. I know he could win the cup and conn smythe but we would never win with him here.
