Big reason he didn’t get as many points as the other guys is cause they played on the same line as will smith and Moore was the second line centre .

Vancouver is not a fast team and we need guys like this. Kinda smallish, but speed kills. Speed on the forecheck is invaluable.

I'm sure plenty are faster than McDavid. Can they make instant decisions w/ the puck while in full-flight like McDavid? Rip the puck on net and actually finish good chances vs. throwing shots into the goalie's chest?

My only comment, because I don't have much knowledge of this player, is that it really highlights the importance of getting it right as a scouting staff and GM. It seems there are so many "golden nuggets" in this draft, buried just under the surface of hype around other players, that for teams that have "rating players" down to a science for their scheme, this could be a hell of a draft year. (Especially for those with multiple 1st and 2nd round picks.) My team, the Blackhawks, are run now by Kyle Davidson. He is young and very focused on a rebuild plan that he cautions will take years. Now he gets CB dropped in his lap. But how does he handle this fortune and still stay with his dogged effort to take it step by step and not get too far ahead approach? I really think there is an argument for picking 2nd here for the Blackhawks. I know that is blasphemy, but Fantilli would better fit the plan and, what could you get from the Ducks in return. Perhaps an asset that helps secure maybe pick number 5 from the Canadians? There is already talk of dealing with Vancouver to move up to pick 11 in trade for 19 and other stuff. Picks 2, 5 and 11 would really help the rebuild and at the right pace.
