It never hurts to listen. But you have to be sure you have someone ready to replace him within the next few years. Rebuild this thing the right way.

Briere talked up the quality of our goaltending pipeline, which makes trading Hart more likely. He also said a trade for Hart has to have a huge return. I’m good with either keeping Hart or getting a huge return for him; either way we win.

Good. That’s the right mentality to have. Can’t afford to half-ass this rebuild.

I think we shouldn’t trade him this offseason, but possibly at the deadline next year. Ersson needs to prove himself more at the NHL level.

Thank you, Danny. Outside of Gauthier(obviously) and also Cates and Tippett which is my personal opinion, the Flyers should be willing to listen to all the players they have. I’m really intrigued to find out how they approach the upcoming offseason. Please no talking themselves into thinking they are a playoff team since Coots and Atkinson will come back.

This isn’t news. You’d be stupid not to listen. Someone could easily overpay. But the likelihood of hart being traded seems low, to me, considering the flyers’ investment in him as the franchise goaltender and the fact that goalies are not often overpaid.

It would have to be a Lindros level trade, because a goalie with his potential is hard to find. If the Flyers can put a somewhat decent D-core around him, he can carry the team into the playoffs and steal rounds.
