Hiring Roy is the boom/bust choice, I like those kinds of gambles.

Got to wonder if we’d consider Roy as a goalie coach in addition to being head coach

If he’s the head coach, who’d become a goalie coach? They’d probably have to agree on a lot id imagine.

I’m into it. We’ve already had one head coach who once tried to fight the opposing team. Roy once tried to bust through the glass between the benches to go after Bruce Boudreau when he was Avalanche coach.

I’m warming up to the idea of Roy as coach. He’s a control freak and I worry he will butt heads with the front office, but we need someone to get the best of Elvis.

He leaned how to be a head coach after the failure in Colorado. This would be an amazing gamble for CBJ.

I like the idea of Patrick Roy, but I also fear the bust. We need to move forward and help some of these youngsters playoff experience and move out of a rebuild and into contention. Roy feels like a coach you hire on a year you have low expectations. He either sinks or swims but you don’t get disappointed if he doesn’t do well. Kinda like Larsen was.
